He would of NEVER tried to kill Nucky, who was the only father figure he ever had. Trying to kill Manny was also bullshit, he could of easily paid him off and kept a business partner. Plus Manny finding the Atlantic City matches was a JOKE. Manny was literally brought in for the trap at the end of the season, THAT IS NOT GOOD WRITING

@toThe9thPower Jimmy never had the intention on killing Nucky that was until he found out that Nucky introduced Gillian to the Commodore. So despite the fact that Nucky was like a father to Jimmy, he did all of this to avenge his mother.

He was NOT avenging anyone, he only agreed because he did not want to seem weak. Jimmy would NEVER do such a thing, and he had the power to tell people to fuck off with the idea, They could of sent Nucky away easily

@toThe9thPower Episode 12 "A Return to Normalcy" Jimmy could've cared less about his real father until he found out that Nucky was the one who introduced Gillian to the Commodore, that is when he was pissed off at the party. Even on the early episodes of Season 2 Gillian told Jimmy he didn't have to do that in order to defend her.

@toThe9thPower In episode 7 "Peg of Old" when Eli suggested to kill Nucky off, everyone agreed, but Jimmy, during that scene there was a pause because he was conflicted of the choice to kill the man who raised him. He then said yes and throughout the entire episode he began to wonder if the decision to kill Nucky off was whether a good idea or not until the last scene of the episode.

Nucky was doing what he had to do, Jimmy clearly didn't want to murder him, He only agreed so he could save himself from looking weak. IF he did want revenge, he would of shown a clear display of contempt at some point, Yet never did. Even when Nucky killed him, he almost coached him through it, YOU HAVE LOST

At no point did Jimmy express any kind of animosity towards Nucky about him introducing his mother to the Commodore, So your theory is bullshit, They wrote Jimmy poorly this season, because they had to kill him off. There is no way this season could have ended on a more tragic note. The first season ended with such intrigue and uncertainty that it created hope for all the characters involved. Now with Jimmy's passing you can't help but feel like it's all over. The romanticism of the show died with him. It's like the Spanish Civil War. The bad guys won and now we have to face reality. It was as beautiful as it was sad.

Basically you like your mom more than your dad and you get jealous when you see her with him more. Most people are supposed to grow out of it, I guess Jimmy didn't. Oedipus didn't mean to have children with his mother he didn't know it was his mom, when he found out he gouged his eyes out after his mom killed herself when she found out he was her son.

I noticed that the way Horowitz killed Jimmy's wife and lover made no sense. He stands outside waiting for him to exit the shower - then shoots the woman who exits without even being sure that it was him. Why would he wait outside for him to come out of shower ? It could be presumed that he wanted to kill his wife in front of him or say something to him before killing him - but he just shot the woman immediately upon opening the door.

@JimBowie1133 He wasn't going to risk it, Jimmy is a very adept guy, who has quick movements, remember the scene where he killed those two guys in New York? Manny also didn't want his wife to shout, as that gives Jimmy time to prepare for Manny and therefore reduces the chances of Manny being able to kill, but rather get killed himself.
