  • Chuck Norris: I have a fist in my beard.

This guy: I just dived to 88m....with no fins...and no oxygen tank....

    Chuck Norris: I submit.

  • What's the background music called?

  • @MarshallPresents The music is called ''Surface Of The Sun'' from the soundtrack of 'Sunshine'.

I think they also nicked it for 'Kick Ass' too.

  • i was a free diver like you. then i took an arrow to the knee...

  • i love this it amazing thank you

  • Take off the Wight

  • Kick-ass?

  • He made a safety stop to prevent nitrogen narcosis right? How'd he do that?

  • @holydamn5 Nope. That would only be needed if he were breathing compressed air at depth.

  • @jakeheckyeah Ahh true, thanks for correcting me!

  • This is awesom !! Great job

  • damn free diving, you scary

  • Im not a free diver. But is it easier to go that far going down like that vs. say 15ft underwater going horizontaly. When I was a kid a friend of mine had a french foreign exchange student that could go about that far underwater in the lake. This guy was a freaky strong swimmer. I cant remember exactly how long but we used to time him holding his breath over four minutes. I guess some people are just naturaly born with whale lungs or somthing.

  • @HennessyViperGTS the song is from the movie "Sunshine".

  • @LeapingFagRainWhatever, what's the difference. 288 ft. 300 ft. It's just a point that's being made. Are you such a fucktard that you don't understand points. Yeah, sure you play football, you're the point making guard. You're the kind of scum that makes my world a sweeter place to shit on.

  • @grimrepercusion u mad bro?

    HA! have a nice day.....

  • @LeapingBearRainCat48 I've got your "bro" in my crotch bitch! Ten inch rock solid dick for your mother! Have a fucked-up day.

  • Whats the name of this song???

  • That's a football field,down and UP!!!

  • @Vidmary777 no, sorry its really not........

  • @LeapingBearRainCat48 I'm not asking dude, I know it is.

  • @Vidmary777 dumbass a football field is 300 feet long

    TRUST me. i play football......

  • @LeapingBearRainCat48 Dumbass?? Well!! I guess have nothing else to say to you, my ass is dumb. Lets' go dumbass.

  • this shit is amazing man....holy fuck i ran out of breath typing this 4 fuck sake....

  • Did anyone else start holding their breath??

  • Comment removed

  • increible!

  • when you start to fall?

  • I actually swim 90 meters below water...

  • unbelivable, respect

  • I was a free diver. I dove down to 53 metres when a dolphin hit me in the stomach with its nose causing all my air to be expelled. I sank 2.3 miles the bottom of the ocean where I found an underwater city and a time machine. I am sending this message from the moon in the year 3021.

  • @takeuchi40 ..whatever your smoking...share with the rest of us im sure we all want to visit 3021!!

  • @nembhard600rr - lol

  • @takeuchi40 ,is there still Doritos and Canadian beer in 3021?

  • @ddboris - Yes, but they stopped doing cool and cheese flavour in the year 2881. The new one is H2o flavour.

  • @takeuchi40 Fake. Dolphins don't swim that far underwater

  • @liamFTG - I'm telling you this one did. A bottle nose it was. Caught me on the blind side. It was travelling at over 113 knots.

  • @takeuchi40 LMAO smart ass haha

  • William Trubridge! Respect man! This is totally unimaginable! Can't believe this!

  • Must be pretty hard swimming upwards when 90m under the surface.

  • Song goes perfectly with this video.

  • Congratulations. Truly beautiful to see

  • Why doesn't he equalise his ears on the way down?

  • @Richtigify You mean by squeezing your nose? There are many other ways to equalise your ears which don't require using your hands.

  • I love freediving. And this is most impressive. He is packing oxygen whitch is very dangerous, but he managed and made a goal few man can achieve. This is a great video of a great feat. Respect.

  • i think thats the dopest dope he ever smoked lol

  • If you've never been free diving you have no context to judge this guy from. He definitely gets my respect.

  • i can nearly do that just 78m off

  • Soundtrack pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee????

  • @hcaguas The song is Adagio in d minor and it is in the OST of the movie Sunshine

  • Amazing

  • 9 people dives 100mt without fins.

  • If somebody now the name off the soud track please help me

  • one word for him..... RESPECT..... and to the haters i could say a lot of things but people are gonna hate no matter how good ones accomplishments are...

  • it would be fuunny if a shark came and ate am all

  • i heard if you swim back up to fast you can black out. is tht true?

  • @HobbaWorld as you swin up you lungs rexpand and the possibility of a swb or shallow water blackout is possible and onset is impossible to reconize

  • I forgot ask you guys, what about decompression, how long you can be that deep to go up without stops?

  • @KoziolekMatolek2010 Decompression stops are done to to reduce the amount of nitrogen in our blood we take from breathing in the air at depth from a diving tank which contains compressed air, and since william holds his breath and doesn't use any source of air like a diving tank, he doesn't need a safety stop because he simply has no nitrogen in his blood. when freediving even at great depth, no safety stops are needed.

    hope that helped :D

  • @Ramiw196 Oh Yes, thank you for the answer, got it

  • That is the REAL competition, not like a stupid piramid from the coins or another sh

  • i think i got a tear.

  • That's gotta be the most scariest shit ever. Drowning is my worst fear

  • William,

You have been a source of inspiration. I hope you know that you have changed my life. I mean that with all sincerity. Keep it up.

  • Freediving is the most dangerous sport after BASE jumping....

  • Incredible!!!! Fantastic!!!

  • well im free diving

and let me tell you one thing

if you get ander 15M with thoese swiming googles your eseys will pop out of your face

you must compear the prassior on your mask that y you have the nose part in it

thou it is passible to get to more then 100M free diving i dont think that guy really did it...

    sorry for my bad english...

  • @shonhahri try wearing fluid goggles as I did - you fill them with water, but since they have lenses mounted on the inside you can see clearly and you don't have to equalise them :)

  • @williamtrubridge

thnx i gess iv lernd somthing today =]

  • @williamtrubridge Congratulations maan! :)

  • @williamtrubridge how does this guy equalize without using his hands to pinch his nose?

  • @crankatorium dunno, goo question, jaw movement / swallowing..come on William share the secret.

  • @snaprat1972 nose clip blocks his nose so he can equalize against that.

  • @kwilsvault or BTV.... voluntary opening of the eustachian tubes. Wish I could do that...

  • @kwilsvault that's pretty funny. Any ideas anyone??

  • @kwilsvault duh, blind as well as dumb..thanks (sneaks off to hid in shame)

  • @shonhahri You do this stuff wow this looks crazy.. You like live on the edge i bet you like to skydive also and do wild stuff like that huh..

  • @jasonmildward

it isnt as hard or scarry as you think i allways do things like that with my freinds =P

  • Respond to this video... I'm i the only one that thanks this is crazy and pointless?

  • @shonhahri shame on you!!!

  • @shonhahri what is your record?

  • omg. just thinking about that water pressure makes my head and ears hurt!!!

  • wish my mom could do that, xD

  • AMAZING, what is the name of the song?

  • @BlinkCLXXXII John Murphy - Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor)

  • @nosequenosecuanto Thanks a lot :D

    Greetings from Portugal

  • whem i go deep my ears hurt

  • Robin's revenge!

  • now change to kryptonite!!!!!!! love the song

  • *can't breathe*

  • omg! and i'm proud when i can hold my breath for a minute, lol

  • Is the new Aquaman movie ?

  • that is truly epic

  • i thought he was dead at 1:44 D: this is just WOW

  • could the music be more cheesy?

  • @bl4ck0p ok make that the whole video not just the music

  • wow, he doesnt even gasp for air when he comes up.

  • Please name the song. It's amazing. :)

  • Who composed the music and what movie have I heard it in?

  • @devinjem09

Its called surface of the sun.. its from the movie sunshine

  • maybe if the music wasnt as dramatic it would be less impressive, the music sounds like the end of the lord of the rings.

  • how he manage to equalize his goggles?

  • He's my HERO!!!!!!!!!

  • He doesn't make it... ;Ɑ ...why did I watch this.

  • God damn I love that sound at 1:50.

  • Behold, the awesomeness of man.

  • I know this has been said to be off the Sunshine soundtrack, but.. did anyone else, like myself, first think of the INK soundtrack. The whole time I was thinking to myself, "Man I really like that INK sound track too. I'm glad they picked it." Or is it just me? Loved them both, but I like to think more to the less expensive to make film. Loved them both though, as well as this one. Great accomplishment!

  • Damn near perfect breast stroke

  • @chronoraven how is it still now that impressive that he just free dove 288ft without fins?

  • That looks like an awesome beach at the end

  • there are no kitchens down there!

  • You know when you watch a movie, you subconsciously hold your breath when a man goes underwater?

  • Anyone know the name of the song? I've heard it recently in a movie but I can not remember wich one.

  • @pauzulia Sunshine

  • @pauzulia Original music by John Murphy and Underworld from the soundtrack Sunshine. Yeah, it was killing me too since I saw it recently and I could just vaguely place it. There's a wikipedia article about it that says the soundtrack was held up for legal reasons for over a year, but they finally released it on itunes only.

  • @pauzulia The song seems very similar to John Murphy's - Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor).

  • TRULY REMARKABLE !

  • Now I know what it's like to go down on Lindsey Lohan.

  • No pressure compensation?

  • Truly amazing.

  • Fuck that

  • Some guy must be able to ignore anoxia.

  • hes my bigest idol :)

  • how does he just keep sinking after a certain depth?

  • @pueto1 your body becomes negatively bouyant

  • Scares me to take notice at the end that the hole is only 50 feet off shore...

  • why is going down without the oxygen tank and exceed the 40 metres ... less dangerous?

  • What a hero!

  • are you williamtrubridge? :| man you are like god :D

  • @QeXeQ

    search him on facebook

  • he was assisted by the rope for stopping at the bottom and for the first upward thrust-- DISQUALIFIED!!!

  • @allfieldsrequiredyt1

    unassisted at 88m ;)

  • @joedunegan its a tarpon not a shark

  • @joedunegan Shark.

  • Wow

  • You know you're badass when you have a bunch of GI Joes as assistants.

  • He must be on energizer batteries. Keeps going and going and going...

  • Now I remember!! Didn't take me that long either Lol. To those wondering...Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor)- John Murphy. Incredible!

  • The song...where is it from? I've heard it before!! A movie I believe? I won't sleep until I figure it out.

  • holy fucking shit that's pretty amazing

  • Which is the title of this song?

  • @visieraverde

Hi it's from the film Sunshine - Adagio in D Minor - breathtaking!! ;-)

  • @visieraverde

Hi it's from the film Sunshine - Adagio in D Minor - breathtaking!! ;-)

  • Can anyone else hold there breath this long?? wow

  • air in your mask!?... u don't feel the presure!! or is a special mask without air inside?

  • did a woman hold this record previously ?

  • @HackerGuitarist yep Audrey Mestre, but she died

  • @wkadd

No Audry did not hold any record in this Constant Weight No Fins discipline.

She died at doing the mechanical dependent No Limit's discipline, where in her dives the safety level was far below par (no backups). - These days safety is greatly enhanced.

In the man powered disciplines NO freedivers have died during AIDA sanctioned events. It has become a safe extreme sport.

Freedivers are experts in equalisation, using special techniques and nose clip to equalise hands free.

  • @wkadd ahh , emm thanks for the info budy

  • didnt his ears hurt? i didnt see him equalize at all

  • @falarious123 He uses a nose clip, I guess he just needs to 'blow' some air to equalize.

  • i cant do 10

  • Who else tried to hold their breath while watching this?

  • @BruceLeDouche I did when he was already half way up but I was so nervous I couldnt hold long enough. What amazed me is he didnt seem all worn out when he reached the surface O_o

  • @BruceLeDouche Had to breath at 1:20 because my parents smoke :(

  • @ivandonat owned

  • @BruceLeDouche i held it the whole time with him... and im 14

  • @TheFFFQQQZZZ Lol ssuuuuurrrre

  • Being a Scuba Diver and watching this is nuts, he definitely is brave and did good with his breathing and time he took going down and back up. I watched the free divers in the pool while I was doing my training for scuba, looks like fun but definitely not for me! lol Congrats William Trubridge!

  • Omg thats scary looking

  • That guy has got iron balls and steel lungs haha

  • that's a extremely quick descending beach

  • YOUR MY HERO!! :D

  • is he eating air at the beginning?

  • @WILSONR86 He is packing air into his lungs. Freedivers do it to get more air oxygen into the lungs.

  • i could not get paid enough to warrant swimming in there

  • extrem top genial

  • There's no point of this why would u want to do that?

  • @Berettaboy391 its a feat of strength, no real purpose, just the fact of knowing you did a great accomplishment

  • that dudes balls were crushed under all the pressure i just know it.

  • Did you see Leonardo Di Caprio down there? i trust you avoided him.

  • i know nothing about science so sorry if my question was dumb :D

  • i just watched mythbusters and they put a meat-filled human replica 300 ft underwater and its guts and organs imploded... wouldnt the water pressure pushing against his body at that depth crush his brain?? :O

  • he cheated at the bottom :) damn.

  • What is he doing at 0:40? The gulping?
