@NoOdLeS0820 omg! i know exactly what you mean! was just thinking that this song is so good that it's too good. perfect, complete, says everything, ALREADY FINISHED. not being sarcastic, just that you've hit the nail on the head.
I remember going to this concert...back in the 80's....right before I join the military...it was at the Forum in LA......it was a great concert....will never forget it....
I love this song, and it deserve far more then a million views! Lady Gaga and Beyonce video has gained almost 32 million views...... Shows how warped peoples taste has become nowadays!
Oh wow!! Thanks for posting this vid! I was a big fan of the "Serious Moonlight" Tour...and I don't know off hand about a movie soundtrack for this but I remember him pitching Pepsi with this song in the 80's. (Yep!) David's the bomb!!!
The movie is called Summer Lovers with Daryl Hannah and Peter Gallagher... a fun three-some summer romp in Greece. Acting isn't great, but it's worth a look if only for the wonderful views of Santorini. Enjoy.
Correct, the drummer on the album is Omar Hakim, but the drummer pictured here (who played in Bowie's touring band) is Tony Thompson (R.I.P.). Also a phenomenal drummer.
He's soooo talented, and in this footage, you can tell he's really enjoying himself. How wonderful is it to do what you love & get paid massive bucks for it?? Good on him. I'd love to meet him one day.
He's totally thinking of Freddy Mercury, although David Bowie co-produced many songs with Queen, his most famous being "Under Pressure" since he provided some vocals as well. But no, David Bowie is very much alive.
Absolute timeless performance! 26 years later ! I just came home from a wicked Metallica show just now.....but I'd love to relive that Serious Moonlight Tour anyday
if you listen closely...right at the beginning as they come running on stage... you can hear david bowie quietly singing in rhythm with the intro..."i gotta take a wiz, I gotta take a wiz, I gotta take a wiz .... NO, sorry, he's singing, I'm bi-sexual ....
if you listen closely...right at the beginning as they come running on stage...(just barely perceptible under the funky bass-line and drums)...you can hear david bowie quietly singing in rhythm with the intro..."i forgot to tie my tie, i forgot to tie my tie, i forgot to tie my tie...
I remember watching this when it first came out in 83. I was in my early 20's and life was good. Bowie was incredibly popular during this phase of his career.
Not really, mediocre film ripped off from Tarkovky's Solaris and Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Nothing really original or groundbreaking bout it. Wanted to like it, left very disappointed. And btw, Spielberg and Coppola have sucked now for decades.
Not only that - but a few years later I was in Los Angeles- and I had a friend who connected to Bowie. So for several weeks in 1990 I got to hang out with Bowie while he recorded with the Tin Machine. He was a very laid back Chap. Just wore casual T-shirt and old blue jeans every day- true story!
Never gonna fall for Modern Love walks beside me Modern Love walks on by Modern Love gets me to the Church on Time Church on Time terrifies me Church on Time makes me party Church on Time puts my trust in God and Man God and Man no confessions God and Man no religion God and Man don't believe in Modern Love
I'm old enough to remember when this song first came out. I would listen to it on the way to work, and it woke me up better than coffee!! Love the drums at the beginning.
