aww im sorry i know how you fell :'( I lost my female cayuga hen to a damn fox ):( she was my best friend and it hurts still but were gettin 3 ducklings..1 cayuga girl,1blue swdish girl,and 1 buff girl :) im excited their coming the 31st of august :D

What happened to the first two ducks?

@d101daley sadly in the early spring of 2010 after a long hard winter a pack of coyote came in our yard during the daytime when Alex and Bianca were our foraging and playing. They took our first feathered loves and broke our hearts. We though they were mostly safe to be outside the pen during the daylight hours since the fox and coyote hunt from dusk to dawn, but they were not. It had been too hard a winter and the coyote were very agressive. It still hurts.

@d101daley  You will see in our latest video that we have a much larger preditor proof enclosure and when we let the out to forage and play it is always under our very careful watch. That kind of heart break you don't recover from very well. The duckies depend on us for everything, including to protect them from all preditors. We are doing our very best not to have this ever happen again.

@dirkrocks123 Ducklings may be handed out free but the cost of keeping them is well more than we ever planned on. You need to make sure they get attention at least twice a day as adults, and more than that as ducklings. Ducks have beautiful varied personalities and we LOVE our feathered family members, but PLEASE do right and make sure you can care for them before getting any.
