I know that I'm in an awkward situation right now of being one of the only people who hasn't seen this show, but can anybody explain to me, what is going on here? Why is Damon hurt? And why is there one Katherine and one Elena and they look the same? And exactly, what did Stephen sacrifrice? The only thing that I know is that Damon loves Elena and Stephen loves Elena and Elena loves Stephen but not Damon. What's the other point of this show can anybody tell me? Just vampires cooler than Cullens

@wangyuxiao1 Whew ok #1 definitely watch this show from the beginning..it's awesome. moving on Damon got bit by a werewolf which is fatal and makes him lose his mind kinda have a lot of pain and die. Katherine is a vampire and a Elena is her human doppleganger (Kat had a baby while she was still human) Stefan is sacrificing his freedom for Damon's cure..what other points do you mean?

@wangyuxiao1 all of this is happening because an original vampire Klaus wants Elena for a sacrifice that will break a curse that stops him from turning into a werewolf..he's both- a hybrid and he wants to awaken the werewolf side of him. n order to do that he had to kill Elena and drink her blood 500 years ago it was supposed to be katherine but she turned herself into a vamp and ran away so now he found Elena-he a the ritual but her father sacrificed himself w/ a spell to bring her back to life

@wangyuxiao1 Klaus's hybrid blood is the only cure for a werewolf bite so Klaus made Stefan stay with him and leave mystic falls in exchange for a vile of his blood...which he gives to katherine (who he made stay with him but didn't kill her for some reasona fter hunting her for 500 years for "betraying" him so he couldn't do his sacrifice) to bring to damon..

I predict that we'll begin to see a gradual swing in the plotlines towards a Katherine + Stefan connection and then a Elena + Damon connection as well... As Damon and Elena tell each other they're staying together in order to save Stefan they'll only become more and more attracted to one another, while I see Katherine becoming instrumental in freeing Stefan from Klaus's insidious clutches... Which will make for some very interesting 4way angst for our favorite characters on TVD's... hummm?

I get it, of course Elena loves Damon, but not in the way she loves Stefan. Damon is like her protector, and she kissed him because 1) its what he wanted and 2) he was going to die, she wanted to give him what he wanted. I dont think it was supposed to mean anything beyond 'goodbye'
