You CAN walk into a lamborghini dealership, throw down some cash, and drive one off the showroom floor. So in response.... here are some Specs of the 2011 Gallardo Superleggera. 5.2ltr V-10 with 570hp AWD. 0-60 3.4 top speed 202mph. Weight 3100lbs Compared to the 2010 458 Italia. V8 w/ 560hp RWD 0-62 3.4 Top speed 202mph.... weight 3042lbs. Judge for yourself.. super light weight Lamborghini vs out of the box replacement for the F430.... facts dont lie. Both cars are hot though... but the engineering at Ferrari... I would give them a A+

Test it against a 570 Superleggera. Those of you saying it won't make much of a difference will see how much there is. Technology changes all the time, theres a 3 year difference in the cars. The guy in the Lambo has to shift immedietly after the jump also, while the 458 has one of (if not) the fastest transmission in the world for a production car. And it's a 7 speed. It all adds up.

The 25hp isnt going to make the difference. The Balboni is only RWD. Superleggera is AWD. And yea it is fair.Both the cars have a 0-60 estimated at 3.4sec and both have a estimated speed of 202mph. Its not like the 458 has any other higher performance editions yet anyways.

Any racer will pretty much tell you that RWD is for car enthusiasts... not saying I dont appreciate AWD, cause I do, I have a new Audi, but when I bought my Porsche 997 CS I wanted to keep it RWD, just because it has more of that racing feel. Anyways AWD cars do handle marvelously, but the Balboni LP-550 is as pretty close as you are going to get to compare the two cars...Peace!

Car and Driver road tested the out of box 2011 Gallardo and it did 0-60 in 3.2 which is .2sec faster than what the superleggera was suppose to do. @thebipolarbear94 Thats cool, most of the times they post are accurate to a degree, not saying they did not post the times but I look at them as estimates and take into consideration who was driving the car, conditions, tarmac conditions etc. Not everyone will get the same result, but it is nice to hear when a car can do remarkable things. Like a 2010 Porsche Turbo S with PDK doing 0-60 in 2.7 sec. Anyways the New Superleggera looks pretty smart, and the 458 Italia is racing this season.
