My grandmother was lithuanian, lived in Chicago USA and only spoke lithuanian. I last saw her when I was 12, ( a long time ago!) but wish I knew the language then. Hearing you pronounce the words that I can still remember her speaking brought back many wonderful memories for me.

@MKY8Corp hia! I must upload more videos :) now about ur question - you can say "mano vardas" or "mano vardas yra" it doesn't make a difference, because word "yra" means "is". LT people use either word combination so you really won't make a mistake. hope that helped :)

I imagine learning the Lithuanian language would be a huge pain in the ass to a foreigner. Must be extremely hard. It's not a Romanic, Germanic or Slavic language, so no similarities to any widely used language and it has only 3 million speakers!

@Indrius Well yes the population is quite low i am a lithuanian myself so i dont feel that its hard sence its my first language but iv heard its extremly hard to learn sence there are much more words and some new letters but after sometime youl be ok with words but i imagine youd have trouble with letters.

Definitely. The Baltic languages of Europe are some of the closest to Proto-Indo-European in pronounciation, and therefore Sanskrit.
