great song and video, of probably the best the cure album, along with faith and seventeen seconds it all depends on the mood but all three albums are great
We really need a cure! Thats what this band is all about. Look at FLUORIDE in our water supply. Fluoride causes cancer, bleeding of thr brain, rots your teeth, & is also the main chemical in rat poison. Look up AGENDA 21! It's about the depopulation of 90% of the miidle & third class. CODEX wants 2 reright the 10 commandments. We have to fight 4 our children, Obama wants to bring these socialist policies home
I actually prefere the live performances of the Pornography song while the Pornography era for obvious reasons..
the mood was present back then much more present than now even IF Bloodflowers was back to their roots.. I don't really think so.. well many things changed.. he got much older (of course) but his voice really changed... mustve be around 1984-85.
but I don't want to make this bad, it's a great performance and the Cure are just incredible! but I love the stuff from 80-82 the most
I think that Lol Tolhurst was a good drummer. He was not a great drummer, but he was perfect for The Cure. Even though Boris will always be my favorite drummer for The Cure. It`s sad that Lol switched to "pretend keyboard" for the rest of his career in the band. it`s painful to watch him on live concert where Porl is doing the actual keyboard playing.
Love this song I play it to my kids all the time. I know it effects them bt have to wait for teenage angst before they really appreciate it. I always have an image of cold war eastern european tower blocks when listening to it.
wou wou ke musika sin duda ke forma de hacer musica sin duda grupo mas grande ke the cure no existe ni existio ni existira i si no solo escucha esto i lo comprenderas soy de mexico i aunke en mexico puros grupos de plastiko esepto algunos me de orgullo decir ke the cure es mi banda faborita
Pornography, Disintegration, & Faith are their finest! as a drummer i always found it kinda interesting that Lol didn't use cymbals a whole lot on the Pornography record & i also think Lol had a lot to do with the keyboard work on that record..what great stuff!!!
That's when the band are at their best, when it's minimal and bleak. You can have simple drumming, guitar, dark synth and bass. Most of the album consisted of this. But The Cure's backbone is Simon. I absolutely love his Jetglo Rickenbacker.
Ice in my eyes and eyes like ice don't move. Look at Simon and Robert... there are so involved while playing this song. Simon just tries to get into the mood at the time of intro... probably going back to the time when they first recorded this song for the 'Pornography' album.
Robert is excellent here... like always.

Church like keyboards, amazingly loud bass and one powerful voice. I'll admit, there aren't many songs like this one.

Le son de la basse est absolument dingue... moins sourd qu'a l'époque et il résonne parfaitement.

@21love4ever On a completely unrelated note, Robert Smith has never taken a position on American politics.

ok, we've all heard of the South Park episode...
give it a rest.
I know you meant well, but you can't just praise one album of a band's career spanning 30 years, especially not The Cure.
All of their albums have their moments.

hahha i know, :P i was just kidding around with the south park line. IMO every The Cure album is great.
And this version of Cold, is awesome, i think its a lot better than the studio one.
