someone try to answer this: I've been playing guitar for about a month and I can play this song somewhat well but I was wondering if it would better for be to play A and B as bar chords, or the way he shows in the video? because I'm not sure if I should practice bar chords or learn those other chords. and also which way is easier?

he plays the a and the b both as barrechords a on the fifth and b on the seventh...

I would suggest not worrying too much about the whole "D U D U U etc" thing for the strum pattern. Just play it a way that sounds correct and feels comfortable so you don't confuse yourself

@sgguymn10 if you mean the little thingy that plays in the start of the song, and not this video...

From the 1st chord, slide from 2 to 4 on the D string, then 4 on the G string (hehehe... g string)

Then the same thing again, but also play a 6 on the G string after

Then do the same thing with the 2nd chord, but slide from 4 to 6 on the D string instead.

If you're having problems, just find the notes and look at how Jack plays it in the video :)

intro is

open on the low E then on the D string 4th fret slide up to the 6th fret and on the G string hit the 4th fret...then repeat, only this time after you hit the 4th fret on the G string you hit the 6th fret on the the G string and then the 4th fret on the D string....then slide from 4/6 (x2) and then hit the 4th fret on the D string.......that may be a little confusing but....its right
