  • I do it.

  • Makes me wish my Speccy hadn't died. :(

  • great tune !

  • Nope. Chuck testa

  • Listen to the greatest AY musician of the 21st century!

  • C64's sound VS. Spectrum ZX's sound.

    Winner:???

  • @jocika99 The C64 had the SID chip.

  • It's Unbelievable !!! Is this made by the AY spectrum chip? Is this true?! GREAT!!! REALLY ASTONISHING!!

  • I take this is being played on the original hardware and not emulated? It's great to hear the General Instrument AY-3-8912 in action, while not as good as the SID chip the 128K Speccy did produce some good tunes. Glider Rider being one of my favourites (crap game though).

  • I loaded this tune as MP3 file onto an iPod shuffle (2GB) and playback broke down after a few seconds of really weird sound (even after reformatting and reloading the playlists). Other "regular" music played well as usual.

BTW: The "AY-sound" song plays perfectly as MP3 file loaded onto an iPhone.

  • awesome tune!

  • spectrum music on last fm/music/D-jooz/8-bit+Juice

  • I think this tune was originally created for one of the Egghead series of games.

  • By the way. Music trackers for ZX Spectrum (samples & chiptunes) zxtrackers. republika. pl

    (Remove SPACEs). :)

  • Nice site Yerzmyey .. Keep up the good work and keep Speccy alive..

  • hurr-ay for yerzmy-ey ! :) are the just different tools to play with or are they independent libraries ?

  • Thx. :)

Well, it's all made in one program - SoundTracker 1.1. :) You can attach such music to any further program.

  • Nice tune! Had my shaking my booty. Not a pretty sight but enjoyable for me.

  • hey ive recently revived my ZX Spectrum (its the previous version though)

im looking for a way to play 8bit music from it and turn it into a synth of sorts...

du know anythign that could help?

  • As a (standalone-)synth it would be pretty boring, afterall it's just 4 square channels clocked at 3.5MHz. If you have the earlier Version (rubber or 48+) you can pretty much forget about that, as it uses the same kind of beeper your pc does.

Better leave it as it is and start tracking :)

  • This may be unbelievably late, but with an old ZX you can still use the BEEP function to get one channel of sound, and with crafty programming you can play more that one sound at a time. Best, however, to use it as a secondary instrument - that is, an accompaniment to another instrument.

  • Rockin' it Mr. Beep style yo.

  • I like this spectrum audio track :) greetings from Barcelona (Spain)

  • The musicfile is a STC file (Soundtracker for Spectrum) 7kb and contains no samples.. which is even more amazing..

  • hey man can u tell me where you found this song from?

  • Theoreticaly it should be here

    ay-riders. speccy. cz

  • Awesome! But there's something else helping the AY.... Digitized samples? Help of the 48K beeper? One of the russian soundcards? I'll try to find out. :D

  • Nah, this is just AY-madness by everyone's favorite speccy musician called Yerzmyey :)

  • Yerzmyey is from Poland. Nice guy! Great job.
