During the short first french parliament monarchy with Louis XVI at the lead, called "Royaume des Français" instead of the old "Royaume de France", the french colors were red-white-blue!

But this was for 2 or 3 years, so lot of people had never heard about it!

Don't you just love an anime in which a guy turns into his dead sister and beats up zombies? ;P It's fun, it's historical (although a bit creative with the details. I'm pretty sure the real D'Eon did not have to fight off Alchemic zombies), and it's FRENCH! I ove the depictions of Versai. I want to see this show dubbed in French with English subs so badly. Is that version available at all?

Actually, the historical D'Eon was proven to be male upon examination of his body after his death. I think he must have had strange sexual preferences, had a strange fetish, or perhaps even some real gender identity crisis. But he really was a he.

Man I loved this anime. It was depressing, but it was a very, very good sort of depressing. God, we need more anime with weird twists on historical events like this. I'm really not seeing how you can even go wrong with this formula. In fact, they could just make anime about history, and I could still like it.
