  • Really fun and easy to use! I dig it. My only question is after retopologizing how do you export? For example, in topogun you can export as a .ztl and recover all that detail you sculpted in....is it the same for 3d coat? I'd really love not to loose all that detail.

  • @6943cahill I could be wrong, but I think you can keep that detail by hitting the "relax" button.

  • its pretty easy, open 3d coat and go file import for retop, switch on symmetry under the drop down at the top of the screen, follow the prompts,

    paint areas of high density,

    then sketch in your edge guides,

    (draw on the model for long curves and start your drawing out side the model for the cut lines) then follow the prompts

    my problem is that the mesh i export looks great until i switch on wire frame when i see that its been subdivided a zillion times, does anyone know why this is?

  • it would be nice to tell us how to auto retopologize it
