CSXT 5252's horn seems to be a well tuned Nathan K5HR24. These were the replacements to several K5LAR24's on the AC4400CW's, C40-8W's, C40-8's and AC6000CW's. As for the horn on 5426, it is a "Third Generation K5LA." They sound pretty nasty to me. They have an overblowing 5 bell, and a bad diaphragm. I wish they would've never left the first generation of K5LA's.

Great video! 5252's horn sounded a lot more like a K5LA than a K5HL.

It really does. Still, it's cool hearing a horn like that coming from a GEVO, which seem to be dominated by the K5HLL.

True, but some of the ES44DC's have some nice K5LA's, search "CSX 5426".
