i dont like this version i mean its good but johnny cashes version is way better this ones to happy and cheery and i dont think it should be that way since the song is called hurt

The opening chords are wrong. In the cash version the chords are straight triadic chords but the opening chords in the Reznor version have dissonnaces ie a tritone, an interval made of three whole tones or a diminished fifth. otherwise known a the devils chord. Diabolus in Muscia. Why am I being a pedant? Becuse the disonnance creates the mood of suffering. Cash may have simplified his chords but that does not mean you have to!
