Mark played some matches for Anorthosis with pretty good performances. Now he got injured in his achilles and he had surgery in Finland. He's expected to be back in action in the new season. He makes good passes, short and long and he runs all over the field making good defence as well. He's not the Super Star, but he is a decent player. I guess that the style that is played in Cypriot League suits him more than the Style in English/Scottish Divisions. Anyway, time will show!

just saying mate. cyprus football has progressed a lot in the past few years. anorthosis made the champions league last year earning 6 points beating panathinaikos and drawing with werden twice and Jose's Inter Milan. managed to score 8 goals in total. Apoel another cypriot team played in the champions league this year and drew with Cska London at stamford bridge a few nights ago. Not bad for an island with a populationof 3/4 of a mil! Time will tell. any idea what his season was like in dundee?

Hi nickpaps, well apparently he only played 3 games in 3 months for Dundee.... not sure if he was injured, or they just didnt rate him like us Norwich fans. Out of interest, how is he getting on? Have you seen him play, and what did you think? He has obviously impressed somebody, somewhere, at some stage in his career...... but he left a very bad taste in the mouths of Norwich fans. Perhaps he just wasnt cut out to be a leader, and it affected his play, that or he just wasnt good enough...

@onlinecashman Hi its mark fotheringham, i would like to respond to your criticism and take on board your view. i really enjoyed my time at norwich and was very proud to be captain under glenn roeder. its a great club with great fans, i loved my second season when i came back from an ankle injury and went almost 14 games unbeaten from being 10 points adrift at bottom, we showed character. the relegation was hurtful for every1 and also hard not to play final 13 games when was important.

I'm a Norwich fan and he was absolutely shit. An overpaid, over-rated, overweight lazy tosser. With the attitude that he has, I am glad that Nigel Clough realised this quickly. He would be very lucky to get another championship club.

Well, considering he captained Norwich to the lowest league position since the 1960s, in a season which resulted in our relegation to the third tier of English football for the first time since that same decade, I will choose "the rest of the team was crap and he was a better choice than the rest of the squad". Only he wasnt better, I suggest you re-read wikipedia.

How good are you actually expecting an uncapped Scottish player to be? Any half decent Scottish player is capped. I am sure that he will do just fine in Cyprus, it is a small league. He is nowhere near the standard expected by a club which gets 26000 fans week in week out.

@onlinecashman any half decent scottish player is capped? granted scotland under especuially vogts gave some bad players caps but jus cos he isnt capped doesnt mean shit, he is against player slike barry ferguson darren fletcher scott brown, for a place all whom top players. i think if he had a steady run of games a couple seasons somehwere then he would be in line for a call up.

@hendinho87 Hi its mark fotheringham, i would like to say thanks for ure post, i must admit i have always aspired to play for my national team who i have represented at every level from under 15s to national b cap. however i fully understand the task is big as scotland have a very strong midfield with the above named players. but when fully fit i will hopefully have a very strong champions league and league campaign with anorthosis in the coming seasons and look to a cap.

It is just my opinion of course, but is shared by many norwich fans. Please note that anorthosis will be his 6th club in 7 years, ask yourself why! We had better players in our youth team, and that is being proven week in week out this season.
