That's a truly nice animation of a time-honored, efficient shaft oiling system: oil slingers. Plain bearings like this properly fitted and wetted with oil of the correct viscosity for the speed and load the shaft carries, last forever: no wear out to them at all. Lubrication engineering is most interesting. I enjoy reading all of the old books.

This is, like 1880's tech, not new, but classic!
