The crazy thing is, a lot of people in my town (in Texas) are typically liberal, but they've decided to vote McCain just because they can't get past their moronic racism. They don't even watch the debates, they just say "Ain't votin' fer no damn *n-word", and so on. It's really revolting to hear things like that in the 21st century.

XD I wouldn't vote conservative or liberal just for the sake of following any party line. I was just pointing out an exception to Epictetus' idea that "only right wing people vote this way" and so on.
I have met a lot of people like that recently, though. There's so much rep vs. dem, conservative vs. liberal bullshit flying about. Buying into any prescribed notion is just making yourself a statistic to be manipulated, and the slanted media coverage doesn't help matters.

I agree with you. Isn't it funny that to some people serving in the war didn't matter in the last presidential election but it does now? I am an independent and vote for who I think would be best for the country and disregard all the scare tactics and lies (on both sides).
