  • Eisbrecher is einfach geil..i like it *.*

  • *cannot keep away from replay button*

  • omfg. L<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • <3<3<3<3<3

  • The reason why I think most people associate German with dark and evil is because some of the dialect is so deep and gutteral

  • Ich liebe es !!! I love it !!!

  • awesome song! thanx!

  • Ich wollte diesen Song zu meinem Ex schicken, aber sie spricht nicht deutsch.

  • Technically, forget me not is correct in old English, like bible-type English....

  • @reject86 If we're speaking in pure technicalities, Forget-me-not would not exist in Old English, as that language is a lot closer to Norse or German than modern English. However, you meant Early Modern English, which is correct; but the phrase "forget me not" is also considered correct by most modern native speakers' intuitions. However, if I may point to your statement as one piece of evidence, it -is- considered "poetic" or "archaic" or "quaint" compared to "Don't forget me."

  • @ErDebu

They also sahre some other things, for example the words correct, perfect, and exact.

  • i don't understand why people think the german language sounds evil and can't be used in music i beg to differ this song an many of eisbrechers songs along with rammstein make a good point the the german lang can make great music.

  • @irishmobster60 yea man out of all the bands i've heard( wich is ALOT!) rammstien and eisbrecher are 2 of the badest ass bands

  • @irishmobster60 I can't speak for any other country, in the U.S. the German language is often associated with the Nazis in our World War II movies, and hence the language is ingrained in some peoples' minds as "evil" or "angry" because of the portrayal of Nazis in those same movies.

Which is a damn shame, as the language is really fun to speak and, as shown in several songs by both Rammstein and Eisbrecher, is more than capable of being beautiful and poetic in its own right. I wish I was fluent

  • @chipmunx A perfect example of your post would be Eisbrecher's song Frage.

  • VERGEETMENIET ( DUTCH)

  • awesome song. (both versions)

  • so are these guys Techno or industrial metal?

  • @notyurbitch More of an industrial metal, according to Wikipedia they are Neue Deutsche Härte which means "new German hardness"

  • @notyurbitch ? I first herd them on a all Darkwave metal station ?

  • @UhisaWaya i found them by accident, they are pretty close to rammstein and they are industrial metal or new german hardness its the same thing

  • @notyurbitch ok

  • @notyurbitch i think they're like a techno goth mix

  • it's a flower ( Forget-me-not ) but the song uses the ambiguity of its name

  • awesome^^

  • I LOVE THIS SONG AND ALL THE OTHER SONGS!!

  • vergissmeinnicht is a art of flower..:)

  • Yes, a german flower is called Vergissmeinnicht^^

  • geiler sonG! muss mir eisbrecher unbedingt aufm rockharz ansehen!

  • yes the little flower is called "Vergissmeinnicht"

    i think it´s poisonous too ^^

I´m native speaker so i should know =)

  • ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿don´t forget me ?????

"forget me not" is this right ?

    I don´t know, sounds weird...

    dont forget me!!!!!

  • @MOCKBA11 vergissmein nicht = do not forget me. Probably who ever translated was german that why he translated word by word. the actual expression is DO NOT FORGET ME.

    Great job though!

  • @MOCKBA11

"forget-me-not" ... it might be right.. if the lyrics were ment to be poet-like

  • @lolluspingus that's a good comment... so that might be right...

    even in a ussual conversation.

    ¡?

  • @MOCKBA11 Forget me not is the archaic English form. You still have it in other Germanic languages. Vergeet me niet in Dutch.

  • @MOCKBA11 When translating the phrase to English, both "don't forget me" and "forget me not" are equally correct in the modern English grammar. Many native English speakers regard "forget me not" as a more poetic way of phrasing the sentiment.

  • @MOCKBA11 i don't know if anybody has answered you yet, but yes, forget me not is right. :)

  • @MOCKBA11 Yes, the translation is correct, but sometimes when translating from German to English, things sound a bit weird. Vergiss (forget) mein (me) nicht (not or don't) is the direct translation (Forget me not) but because of English word order, in order for it to be correct in English it has to be 'don't forget me' while in German it could be taken either way and still be correct. That's why it sounds so weird.

  • @MOCKBA11 Forget-me-not is a name of a flower...

  • @MOCKBA11 according to the poetical style of die leid :) it must be translated as it fits beter to rhuthm, translator also should have done it beter

  • @MOCKBA11 It's the name of a flower. In German (Vergissmeinnicht) too!!!

  • @MOCKBA11 For get me not as in the flower

  • @MOCKBA11 Forget me not sounds fine. That's a way to phrase "don't forget me." Also Vergissmeinnicht is the name of a flower.

  • @MOCKBA11 forget me not

  • Ich liebe dieses Lied.

    2:30-2:40 wie Depeche Mode

  • Vergissmeinnicht... a Good song for Valentines day, yeah??

    isn't there a flower named "forget-me-not"? : )

  • isn't there a flower named

    "forget-me-not"?

Yes, it's usually blue, but can be white or pink.

  • cool i didnt notice that b4

  • @lolluspingus yeah but just barely when they say vergissmeinnicht

  • btw, am I the only one who can hear the sound of a WOMAN on the back?

  • Great song... but there's this one funny thing.. "vergissmeinnicht" means "pet" if translated to finnish.. O.0

  • wow diese lied ist errrm SUPERRR!!

  • hha ich liebe dises leid <3 und ja forwardn2unkown richtig

  • I love this song!

    Thanks for posting^^

  • When I first heard this song, upon dear Ramon Salazar's tribute music video; I had thought it meant, "Forget my name", however it means, "Forget-Me-Not" --- and the lyrics are very beautiful. I think I'm falling in love with Eisbrecher's music, 'tis very beautiful and well writen in a mysterious way. <3

  • Is Vergissmeinnicht also the name of the flower in German?

  • Truly I don't know. I'm taking online German classes the only thing I know about a flower is how the say it. Die Blume.

  • @Lothp My german exchange student told me it was the name of a flower when he showed me the song

  • @Lothp &@ForwardN2Unknown it is a flower, a very beautiful one as well ^^

  • @Lothp && @ForwardN2Unknown: Yes it is...

  • @ForwardN2Unknown Vergissmeinnicht is a special kind of flowers ;)

    mfg:evLLL3

  • @ForwardN2Unknown yap, it's a flower ^^ I think it's purple (sry for my bad English, I'm German ^^')

  • @ForwardN2Unknown

    Ja...kind of metaphor

  • @ForwardN2Unknown

Yes it is a name of a flower in german. In German mythology it says that when god named all the flowers' suddenly a tiny flower called out: "Forget me not! " and god decided that shall be thy name.

  • @ForwardN2Unknown

Actually yes, Germany is the country of origin where forget-me-nots got their name.

  • @ForwardN2Unknown yes it is. ^^ greetz from germany :P

  • @ForwardN2Unknown In America there are flowers called "Forget-Me Not"

  • Yes we have the same flower too here in Norway, forglemmegei, which directly translated would mean: Forget-me-not

  • @ForwardN2Unknown yep :)

  • @ForwardN2Unknown

I come from Germany. Vergissmeinnicht is the name of a little flower in germany :)

  • @ForwardN2Unknown yes actually it is a flower :D

  • @ForwardN2Unknown yep =]

  • @ForwardN2Unknown

yes, vergissmeinnicht is a flower, google it and look at the pictures. ;)

  • @ForwardN2Unknown

There is a flower named that yes, a simple search in wikipedia of forget me not will bring up the flower, although it doesn't appear to be a name of German descent, but rather French. Though it has gone on to be called the same thing in many different languages. One of those quaintly named flowers such as bleeding hearts or lady's slippers, etc.

  • @ForwardN2Unknown Thats right...."Vergissmeinnicht" is a flower

the meaning of "vergissmeinnicht" is "don't forget me"
