I was very disappointed in TOS2 for 3 reasons...

1) No running around in the field, only going from location to location without travel is just boring.

2) How Little the main 8 characters from the first game appeared, like you had everyone for short amounts of time and they went away until the end for the most part.

3) How you pretty well always had to be Emil or Marta. Yes they are decent characters but i wish you never had to have 1 of them in the party every time.

Different VA for Lloyd = Turn off for me, in fact, ANY KIND of VA change is an instant turnoff, to the point that I've stopped watching some T.V. series because of that.

Sux major balls, I mean, if it was a minor character like.... say.... I dunno, Seles it would be okay, but you don't DO THAT to the "main" character.

It's in just about anything relating to magic or alchemy. Harry Potter, Tales, FMA, Baccano, the list goes on. It's an extremely common theme of alchemy. The two goals of alchemy were to turn lead into gold, and to achieve immortality. So alchemists set out in search of the Philosopher's Stone a.k.a. Grand Panacea. Tales already has the Panacea

@weijay21 Though i agree with you, thats why the original characters were nerfed. to draw attention to the new ones. if there wasnt a benefit to playing the new ones, no one would play them at all, and toss them aside for the old characters as they came in. I miss the old lloyd, but emil was a decent swordsman to play too.

I remember me and my brother's son beat the game just the other day. He was emil and I was lloyd and the Cpu's were Zelos and Raine(there were good help in healing). My ultimate arte combo with lloyd was like Sword Rain, Sword Rain Alpha, Raging Tiger Blade. Rising Phoenix and Blazing Tempest its awesome playing as lloyd in the game.

This game had such great potential, but they made so many stuipd mistakes with it that screwed it up. The graphics, the gameplay, everything. It makes the first one look like god compared to this one. It's so stupid you can't switch characters, it makes you play as Emil or Marta, unless you switch during battle. And they can't level up either! That's so stupid, if you're playing unknown, it makes you fight with monsters because the others die in like one hit.

has anybody notice that all the characters from TOS are somewhat crappy, i mean lloyd's combos are slow and drawn out and all the characters have preset everything so its like they force you to play as emil (cause marta is pretty much a poor collaboration of raine and regal (in my opinion of course)

man, this game copied abyss so much. with grand cross, photon, prism sword, free run, divine saber. and instead of overlimit for each character for them to use MA's, they out in one for everyone and for unison. so only one at a time can use it and the unison is gay in here compared to tos

Prism sword was in symphonia too but you had to be on the S-spell path for genis. photon was in symphonia was in symphonia. divine saber and free run came from abyss though. Especially free run though since that was the new feature for tales games that was added in abyss.

I mean that's what set Genis apart from the rest of the other spellcasters that can use Indignation!! None of the others could summon a gigantic sword of lightning from the heavens to slam into enemies!! And I'm not counting the spell Thunder Blade!! Jade and Rita(PS3) had awesome Indignations but Genis' Indignation Judgment was unique!!

It was my standard party too :) The only one I also used sometimes was Sheena instead of Colette. Or sometimes Zelos / Kratos because I like being able to attack normally and having acces to a few spells.

For me Genis and Raine aren't replaceable AT ALL because I just NEED a mage and a healer in my party :D
