dont feel so bad man, rock hoppers arent as hardcore as ppl are making out. ive ragged mine around for about a week its already starting to show minor problems. Its just a nice bike to ride whatever you wanna do with it. If you've got the spare cash to justify it.

You guys are rough, if only you knew that I'm in Central Florida where there are no hills or rocks. Anywhere off road is nothing but sugar sand and is difficult to even walk in.
So this is Central Florida's version of "off road"
I am in orlando, you should try snow hill, for a local ride....there is also alafia over in Tampa. There is always going to be sugar sand here in florida, it will make you a better rider though.
my hopper and is a 29er and i love it! that might sound noob but i gotta learn how to jump now... i ride in the woods and in the mountains with it but in my 16 years of existence i never learned how to jump/bunnyhop...! urghh... shame on me.. LOL
man, i know the feeling! when i got my hardrock, i was out in 5 minutes riding it. it was my first mtb bike so it was really cool. now im lookin at a bighit 3.
man, you guys won't let me get away with anything. I had the bike for about 30 minutes, this was the closest place to put some time in on it... and she picked the music. ;o)
you look like a good dude, and your gfriend looks fun. but you have this punk music playing, and a kick arse bike, and, well, it's a bit disappointing to see you doing a three point turn on a paved lane.
all that you need to do is change the music.
like i said though, you guys look like good people, and i wish you the best. it's just that you have inadvertently stumbled into a world where paved roads are routinely shredded and eaten. i'm just putting it out there for your consumption.
I love my hopper, the only parts I don't like are the pedals and tyres, so they got changed asap. Apart from that, this thing is super fast and a joy to ride! I wear that same manic grin on my face everytime I ride it :D
