The only regular first team players were Cech, Alex, Essien and Mikel. The rest were either out on loan, subs or reserve/youth team players last season. I watched the match live and the number 10 looks like one for the future as do many of the other youngsters.

Im a Palace supporter, and to be honest a 1-0 defeat against the club thats supposed to be the best in England, really isnt that bad.

They won the season, and the FA cup.

and given that we stayed up on the last game of the season.

Well, im not actually that sure, when Palace played Aston Villa, we played better than most premier league teams. And only because of abit of Argy-bargy in the box when a corner was taken, that resulted in a replay.

And to be honest, i dont think any Chelsea fan can say that the final wasnt close, though it is easy to talk retrospectively, a penalty would have changed the game.

And for a second round game against palace, chelsea wouldnt play their first team.

@rorrt But come on mate, look at the team. Essien had just come back from months out and got substituted, Cech got substituted as we played 3 keepers and the rest wern't even first team players. We played alot of reserves and even a 15 year old. If it was an FA cup game I could see the score being about 7-0. We scored 7 against Aston Villa, Wigan and Stoke last season and they are all in the premiership.
