I feel bad for Joe Lipsey. Why did he never fight again? That story hasn't been told. Did Hopkins seriously damage something like his eye or his jaw?
@SmelOdiesthe old story i think. good amatuer goes pro late. is 30 years old. the 90's it was still pretty traditional that you where on the slide by then, fought a champion who had been was shutout by roy jones and struggled with mercado. so you would think he was a weak champion *ducks tomato* or at least beatable. wen looking back at it.
he got crushed, and stopped and it ended in a very bad ko. many other fighters have retired for less reasons. i would like to know how Joe got on though.
i'll shut up. he says he was suffering from asthma and was didnt have much left.
