Ahh the good old EQ days my first time I ventured out passed my starting home and into the karanas...prying to myself "I sure hope I dont die here or else I have no way to find my corpse" and then someone hit me with SoW and I was like HOLY HELL this is fast!!!! good times
omg i loved this zone crossing wooden bridge loading screen pops up welcome to west karana something i forget but it was epic game that SHOULD BE rebuild for free so we can play it again.
I remember this music the most since I remember the only place in the game at the time to make darkwood bows was out in the middle of no where with the centaur merchants. Every time I had to make one I had a pretty good hike ahead of me.
@Maeousie Wow, thank you very much. I am going to dip my feet back in the water again. I can't wait to get back to black burrow and crystal caverns!!!
You know, I played the high end of the game for a few years, but absolutely nothing ever compared to the thrill of the earlier zones.
Furthermore, EQ was so much better solo or in a small group of friends rather in than a raid.
The strange thing is I can't remember what I was doing during this period in my life. I felt like this game transcended reality and when I was playing... And nothing has come close since.
Ah yes, every game I've ever played, no matter how large the world or how realistic the graphics, no game caused me to feel so inside of it--the terror instilled by that hill-giant footstep behind you or the wonder and awe of towering monuments and enchanting music... even the rain felt wet.
We will relive classic EQ and eventually Kunark and Velious.

Hell yeah. This game was amazing for its time. Too bad the close tight-knit communities are mostly gone from MMOs. Probably due to so many kids and assholes playing nowadays.
This is the most nostalgic music ever.

Terrorantula. I was in The Desert of Ro when I first heard that the Sleeper was brought down. How I wish I was there.

running across the karana's dodging the mobs, the giants, heading up the pass to high keep and running off the edge to your death, geez such fun

Why do we all get so emotional about EQ?
I think it is because it was a type of reality.
Our charactors were extensions of ourselves and there are just so many memories.
I MISS EQ and the people I met along the way.

Very true. This game was immersive like nothing before or since. It REALLY felt like you were in another world.
