@Brendon00000 I still have an old Spearco same side intercooler that I'm not using. The intercooler in the video is just some eBay junk. All the piping is custom or modified from the kit.
@Mr450 It's not unbearable to drive but the 240sx already tends to understeer and the RB engine is definitely a lot heavier than the SR because I've handled both engines by themselves. The SR does sit further back closer to the middle of the car as well which further amplifies the difference.
you can get recirculation fittings for aftermarket bov's like blitz, and hks. some dont however, like tial bov's. its a good idea to recirculate if you dont mind having a little quieter bov, then your vehicle wont run rich.
wow! good job guys sounds good, my question is im doing the same swap with my 240, now besides the whole engine such as wiring tranny motor turbo and what not, what else am i going to need, do i need a differ cross member or drive shaft what please help
just did the same swap, used rb25det/rb20det crossmember // depending on weather ur silvia was manual or auto u may need longer or shorter driveshaft good idea to upgrade radiator and use 2 electrix fans on the fwd side make a driveshaft loop for cert, check my vids
Sweet! I had RB20DET redtop on my Nissan Laurel Medalist 1987. Awesome engine!!! Very stable, no any kind of vibration, 0-100kmh@7sec (not bad for 210HP, right?), runs smooth, it had special injectors to cool every piston, also it had NICS (Nissan Induction Control System) which made good fuel consumption on low revs (only one valve of two on each cylinder was opening for air intake).. what can I say.. I still miss my "Laurel" even after purchasing another 2000 year car.
omg i think i just wet myself a lil !

i'm using a rb 20 det in a cefiro....
i can't use my blow off valve since the rb's turbo are originally fitted with wastegates....
my air flow sensor doesn't get the correct reading when i'm using the blow off valve and cause more fuel and lags and loose power....

It fits fine. It's a huge heavy engine though, so unless you're doing anything besides going in a straight line, it won't be that great.

the rb20's botom end is stronger than the sr20
super2ner 4 years ago 2
SR20 = more parts, easier, less weight
KA24 = cheap, overall balanced, boring
CA18 = good for insane enthusiast tech
RB25 = slightly easier, high end power
RB26 = not easy, too much power to use
viragostarviper 5 years ago
lol, never too much power
SR20= Drifting, All around racing
Rb's= Drag, heavy but more power
