As a gay person there is no room for me in organized religion, so I stay away from it. I have not set foot in a church (except as a social obligation like a wedding or to visit a historical site as a tourist) for almost 50 years. I have lived happily without religion almost 5 decades. All organized religion is good for is to dump on people like me. You go your way and I will go mine. And I will fight to preserve the separation of church and state. Take your myths and shove them.

@auntbecky You are using the loophole that Christians use to make themselves sound more open-minded than they really are. Love the sinner but hate the sin. The Inquisition used that a lot. I have been 35 years in a loving relationship with the same man. We are legally married here in Canada. After 35 years our sex life is not like that of newlyweds, but it exists. Do you and your God accept that as OK? No? So God accepts my sexuality but not the active expression of it? Why did he make me gay?

@Domodeath well, he is catholic saint and only catholics honor him(his order is still alive after 700 yrs, actually a church in my neighbourhood is franciscian church and monestary, also FRAMA, etc.). Maybe you will now understand our faith a bit more and why we honor our saints and pray to them. Did you see what pope Inocent did in the movie? St Francesco didn't turn his back on church like luther or someone else, he changed it from inside. Thats true Gods work through His servants.

O.R. is only good for causing Strife and separation between people and nature. If you must have religion than go back to the original Gnostic teachings before the power elite took over. Command and Control, and Conform and Submit. St. Francis followed his inner guidance and that's why I Honor him.
