@iLOVEme14217 i got one about 2 years ago for my birthday when it first came out i have an SLR now but i use it as a back up camera and its fantastic!the only down fall is the video mode it says HDvideo but the quality is not very good it only goes to 450p, and if you don't have rechargeable batteries it will eat them up!however it takes EXCELLENT photos for a digital camera i know nikon has some newer coolpix models out now so this model has probably dropped in price quite a bit

actually the AA battery option is nice- if you are in a pinch, go into a convenience store and pic up four lithium batteries- another 900 shots. I love mine- great macro wen your patient, and i love the zoom on it

eeeee i love this camera but no matter what i do ALL my pictures are blurry! well not always but like every 1 in 3 pics are sharp and clear. it sorta does its own thing. is there a way to make all my pics not blurry?

its alright lol if you want to take quick pictures for sports or something moving, then it has a sports continuous, it takes pics in motion i think its like 30 per second

are you letting it focus before shooting? sorry I don't mean to belittle you at all.. but lots of people overlook the fact that you need to hold the shutter button down halfway until it focuses- never in the 5000+ pics I have taken since June have I had a blurry image that was not due to human error

Just picked one up to give my grandparents for Christmas because they've wanted a nice digital but didn't like the prices and all the feature intimidated them.

Very good camera for the price if you need something easy to use like they do, so it depends on what features and extras you'd like because this one is definitely an idiot proof camera more or less. Picked it up at the local best buy for $300 which included a 4gig card, large tripod, and a nice carrying case with a 2 year full warranty.

Yeah I may have made it sound more dumbed down than it is, but I just picked it for how user friendly it is and how it performs compared to the others I ran across for the same price because for some of the people not yet into the digital age (God forbid) its an extremely easy camera to adjust to from the relic age of the normal film cameras.

its preety good were talking about a compact camera now this camera is made for taking pictures more than video taping just like a camcorder specializes in better video quality than picture i also use it to take pics and video tape skate boarding and the video is preety good if u want to see the quality check out my vans demo video on my channel

I hate these cameras... either buy a DSLR or a regular point and shoot.

Entry-level DSLRs are pretty cheap and pretty compact these days. Why buy something just as big which has one lens option?
