My view is simple -- the developments in Ethiopia would have been much better without the personal control of Meles Zenawi and his former Albanian style communist cadres. Mengistu commissioned a secret police agency to arrest, intimidate and kill oppositions against the governments, in addition leaves the bodies on the streets. Meles does the same thing, but does not leave bodies on the streets. Race is a factor in politics, so yes his ethnicity does matter. Majority being non Tigray, so poll results not showing this in elections does not make sense. War is on the horizon.
