alternately you can do get info, then click the small icon at the top left and then just drag and drop your file to change it saves you 2 steps my 2 cents

Also, a good alternative to finder is pathfinder or totalfinder.If you want to quickly launch app try quicksilver.Don't forget to assign a hotkey to launch quicksilver.Also, If you like that feature in windows where you snap certain windows in place to the side or fullscreen then try cinch for Mac.If you want to access stuff easier via the contexual menu then try the QuickAccessCM.Some other cool apps are fluid, afloat, defaultfolder and dropbox.There's also a dropbox app on the iPhone as well.

Dave, thanks for the tips.You can change the image of a folders icon like you demonstrated, however it's somewhat tricky if you want to change the icon for an application.You need to first convert the image to icon format and then go about copying/pasting like you showed.A good app that can do the conversion is image2icon or just find icons using an app like iconjunkie.

If you want an easier way to see your path, right click on the folder icon at the top of the folder. For example: when you are in your Applications folder, go to the top of the Window, and right click on the folder icon that's right beside of it. It does the same thing as the path toolbar shortcut, but it keeps your toolbar less cluttered.

@RowingBeauty click on the apple logo in the top right hand corner of your screen and click "about this mac", if it says version 10.6 then your on snow leopard. If your on 10.5 then your on Leopard. If it says 10.4 then your on Tiger.

@mojochopper i think that's only something that the developer of the theme can change. i have the black menu theme as well and wish they would fix font colors so you don't have to click on them or squint to see it.

@Pokemongo1 If you actually watched his video and then watched mine, you'd notice that his tips were COMPLETELY different to mine. He talked about hiding desktop icons, calibrating the apple remote to one computer, he discussed how to boot directly into windows on your mac, and finally he showed you how to disable the trash deletion warning. So in fact these tutorial videos are completely different. Thanks.
