  • I just wanted to point out one common error made in this video and that was at 4:45 of this video where he said the pelvis drains into the "urethra", which of course is incorrect as we know this structure is called the "ureter". Very common mistake to mix those names up even by professionals but I just wanted to make sure no one studied the wrong name. Other than that great video!

    fyi-toward the end of the video, the ureter is incorrectly called the urethra (urine going from minor to major calyxes, then renal pelvis, then ureter, not urethra).

    alz-I believe the blue dots are to represent the nuclei of the podocytes which form the visceral layer of the glomerular capsule.

  • I think you made a mistake. After the urine flows out from the kidney, it is squeezed down the ureters to the urinary bladder.
