  • I would like to build a 395 like this I have one but the housing is messed up where the coil bolts on so it will be hard for me to decide. it also chewed the flywheel up good too I'm hoping the saw shop where the coil was put on will eat thier own bill for it cause it screwed my saw up pretty bad. They are trying to build the corner of the case back up with JB weld to make the coil sit square without toughing the flywheel.

  • Extra oil=less fuel; leaner mixture.

  • Talking fuel to air, not oil to fuel.

If you increase the oil (decrease ratio) you tune the saw accordingly. It doesn't matter the oil ratio (within reason) as long as the saw is tuned accordingly.

  • no i personaly havent had a kit like that i was just saying to watch how lean u let ur engine get because it makes alot more power but also more heat and less oil

  • I run my saws rich for the first tank or so, then lean them to a normal state of tune. Too lean you loose torque/power.

  • yup run extra oil on breakin too?

  • No, 50:1 always.

  • just watch how lean u get iv burnt a few pistons b4

  • That saw flies through the wood!! wish i had one like that to cut timber with
