Grand Rapids MN Ruffed Grouse Hunting 2010

Last year was something else! We've been seeing just as many so far this season too! The first two weeks of the season were very green, but the leaves are dropping now and allowing us to actually see them when they flush. So far my bro and I have only bagged 7 of the 50 or so we've encountered. We've been hunting about a half hour north of Duluth.

and if u don't mind me asking, where about rapids were you hunting? north of it? west?

looks like plenty of fun! it was an unreal year for grouse north of grand rapids, simply unreal. cover was all gone by duck opener which was a first in a long time so shooting through brush was easier. couple of beautiful pictures you guys took of the cover and dogs. nice job
