@MrRainbowpenguin25 when warming up take off ur glove, and have ur left hand hold ur right and work on the flick of the hand.... or you can kneeel and just use ur arm .................hope it helps!
i hated my old coach i knew how to pitch it was just natral but he would never let me pitch even when i was the best on my team he knew that i could pitch but he would always put either the girls coaches daughter in or his daughter even when both of the pitchers where gone he would put these tow other girls in even the last games (2 games one night) well he was going to put me in but i was 5 minutes late and he mad his duaghter pitch all of it god i hated that coack eeewww ;0
i find it ironic that i was on this guys team for four years and he never taught me how to throw any pitches when i was learning to pitch. i had to learn them on my own.
@Cowtown42 Every other pitch is built off of the fastball. It sets everything up. Also, it's good to have a fastball when you're behind in the count and need to throw a strike. If you have one that doesn't move, and one that drops, that's a huge tool to have. Don't rely on your rise ball all the time. A hitter with a half a brain is going to be looking at your hand as you release the ball. Maybe I learned that from baseball, but the Rise has an obviously different grip. Predictability=bad
yes they throw a straigt power fastball but they work the 4 qudrants never down the middle of the plate unless your in a 3-0 count. get ahead then expantd the strike zone with rise ball or drop. They also have a curve ball and screwball. If you cant throw at leadt 62- 64 you'll never make it in college!
@Cowtown42 i do agree partially. however if youve got a batter that you have seen before and you can tell that she wont be able to get near your fastball then you should throw a good fastball.
this is good but try to put your pointer finger on the left seam(the one closest to first) and your middle finger on the right seam(the one closest to third) with your thumb on the bottom left and your ring finger on the bottom right that is how i pitch for softball and with windmill with pravtice it works ****ing awsome
This pitch does work...have used it as shown for years. This pitch is a slight variation from the four seam fastball. While it might not seem like a lot, the change of two or three miles an hour on a fastball can make a big difference in a pitcher's game. This pitch catches less air than the four seam ball, thus making it slightly faster.
TheGirl: *Omg stop touching my fingers already*!!
Expertvillage guy: Your Index finger and your ring finger!(Few seconds of touching fair and smooth skin)
TheGirl: Bye! find another demonstrator

Why throw fastballs???? Folks you need to be working on movement and forget about fastballs.

it does matter how you hold the ball, but i don't think your supposed to hold it like this... at least i don't.

Dont try! I did this and hurt my catcher
MissBrooke1215 2 years ago
It does not matter how you grip the ball its how well you pitch it dosent work and will more likely harm your catcher!
MissBrooke1215 2 years ago

a fastball is common sense. You grip it and throw it. Movment pitches are what baffle people.
