  • Travis you have a God given talent. Please keep it going. I fell in love just from your voice. Your music takes me some where better. Please your fans & family want tosee you do what you are ment to.

  • I agree man. Travis, take care.

  • Drugs are bad, but picture In Utero without heroin! How about Phil Anselmo without anger and a mad temper. Then Vulgar display would have been weak. Just my narrow minded opinion.

  • Travis meth or not he has an awesome voice, talented young man,he should clean up for his health.lost to many good singers to drugs and alcohol,Jim Morrison,Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin

  • without DRUGS they wouldnt have been half the shit they were.

  • Hes going bald, too much meth!

  • what tuning is this song in?!

  • drop d

  • Its a good ass song. We need to hear some new stuff from Travis. People talk about an album "Purple". Does anybody think he will get another record deal. Its been six years since "red".

  • I don't know if there is no such thing as an A#, even tho i did post B flat. And about that 12 string.

I've never seen Travis Meeks play a 12 string, the book doesn't say anything about a 12 string which i think it would, and it just doesn't sound like a 12.

There is so much flat picking in this song, i don't think it calls for a 12 string. I wasn't in the recording studio tho so i really don't know.

  • I agree, I don't hear a 12-string either...the bright sound is a good acoustic amplifier matched with a decent acoustic. Damagedone37 must not know what note comes between the 5th and 7th of an E string. I guess the note on the 6th fret doesn't exist or something.

  • In the recording studio he uses a double track for the guitar on Whimsical. One he uses is a 12.

  • Do you call a B a Cb too?

  • nope, read my comment with the notes in a chromatic scale if you're still confused.

  • nope its jusr A/A#/B/C/D/D#/E/F/F#/G/G# and just wraps around.

  • A# A# C# F# A# C#

  • theres no such thing as an a#

  • Maybe you should think about that a little harder

    Notes are: A, A#/Bb, B, C, C#/Db, D, D#/Eb, E, F, F#/Gb, G, G#/Ab

Maybe you need a refresher course in music theory

  • if you've ever read musical theory buddy boy, An A# is a Bb and 99% of musicians do not refer to an Bb as an A#

  • Let's take a look at what the days of the new sheet music says for his various tunings:

    I Think: C# G# C# F# A# C#, Phobics of Tragedy: A# G# A# D# G# A#, Not the Same: D# G# C# F# A# C#

All of those contain the "A#" and they're directly off the sheet music which i'm holding infront of me. I guess the people that publish the sheet music are just wrong 99% of the time too...it's a matter of preference, ask anybody

  • also think about augmented chord structure with the #5 and what you will call that note if it happens to augment the A.

  • B B D G B D , all 1/2 step down , not Drop D

  • correct sir!

  • dropped d

  • Wonderful!!!...What's this tune???

  • For those of you who have not heard the album version of this song, you need to download it asap. On the album, the two guitars together sound awesome.

  • its a 12string double tracked with travis playing the 12 and Todd Whitner playing the 6.
