Can you only fly the KA-50 in this game or you have more options? I know the KA-50 is majority of this Game but it were cool when you have other options like Mi-28, Mi24,Mi8 and western Helicopters!?
Anyone know any SUPER realistic simulator that would teach me how to fly? Any aircraft, i just have the desire to know at least one aircraft even if I will never fly.
@GiaJ1 Microsoft Flight Simulator X is pretty close to the real thing. They use it to train pilots sometimes. There's tutorials and missions you can do and if you turn the realism on it's a lot like the real thing. You will find though flying planes in a video game isn't as exciting as real life but it is super realistic.

Apache longbow was awesome. I bought the KA-50 simulator almost a year ago and still have not found the time to sit down and learn it-thats what I am doing now-priming myself !!

This Black Shark sim however is for the more technically minded need I say more....nah think not.
these kind of games are redicoulous because Your 16 yrs old when You pop it into Your pc and by the time You figure out how to get off the ground Your 60 yrs old. and they move like a grandma on steroids which is just a bit faster than a snails pace.

PC is the superior platform for BOTH first person shooters AND flight simulators.
There has not be ONE study simulator of note on any console ever. not one. The closest thing to a flight sim that has been on consoles is the ace combat series and recently HAWX. Both of these are laughable arcade sims that have nearly zero simulator merit. PC has been and always will be THE platform for casual to hardcore simulations.
@li7in6 i agree i gt a console and i want 2 make a change 2 pc so i can get some gd sim games lik this 4 1 but the problem is the space. with a console u've already gt a tv so just put in on the floor in front of ur tv and ur gd 2 go but a pc u need a desk and a section of a room and if u really want 2 b hardcore u need a propa cockpit and some ppl dont hav the space or the money for all of those things thts y they probably get a console
@torque2802 you can output your graphics to your tv, as long as your TV supports it of course :) Make the change, I have wii, xbox and PC and I spend more time on pc than the others combined. you can get a decent gaming rig now for a decent price.

For ppl with an attention span longer than a gnat, u can pick DCS:BS up in about a week of casual play. and DCS:BS is the most in depth flight sim to date. Hell i got 90% system familiarity in the russian pit without opening the manual. Sims like this are for ppl who enjoy aircraft, appreciate the level of complexity that goes into flying them and engaging combat in them, and will put the modest amount of time in to climb the learning curve. For ppl like you, there ace combat.

Not possible you simply cant have this level of detail on a console they simply do not have the memory or processing ability to make a simulator like this possible.If you want games with this level of detail you are going to have to drop the coin on a good PC.

oh consoles can do it alright as they dont have to run the same amount of background apps! they were built with one purpose in mind to run whatever dvd/bluray is inserted!
i have cod4 on ps3 and on a dualcore 4gb ram and 512mb vram and it slightly freezes everytime a few smoke grenades go off! nothing extreme but noticable when your in the heat of it! the ps3 never freezes dont know about xbox but id imagine the same results. consoles wouldnt be able to map that many keys tho.

yes i think so. i played FSX for a long long time. i know every single button in the cockpit of a boeing 737-800. when i was sitting in a real 737 cockpit i also knew everything.
If you tried it (which I doubt) you probably stared blankly at the cockpit for half an hour having no clue what to do and after realising it takes more effort than pressing E for engines you gave up and came on here to talk stupid-ass stuff. In your case I'd probably be bored too.

It's just been released in English. I was gonna buy it until I discovered Eagle Dynamics elected to use StarForce as the DRM platform. They have said, however, that they're considering releasing it via Steam or something else, but that may take some time.
Well...they mentioned in the past they were looking at it. I'm hoping that means "yes", but who really knows. I hope it does, as the game does look very good. I've just read too many horror stories about Starforce.

You get the menus and tooltips in cockpit in english by renaming the file called "ru" in :\Program Files\1C\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\l10n to something else (ru.old)

Well...they mentioned in the past they were looking at it. I'm hoping that means "yes", but who really knows. I hope it does, as the game does look very good. I've just read too many horror stories about Starforce.

There has been rumor, it'll be available on steam however nobody says when. Pity it is distributed on dvds in russia and nowhere else :(

It will be distributed in some other countries, but you'll have to wait a bit - for Germany (for example, since I'm from GER) the release date is in March

Hmmm, enpä muista tollasta ongelmaa. Mikähän helkkari se voi olla? Mitä siinä ikkunassa seisoo? onko siinä jotain vaihtoehtoja tai kysyykö se jotain? En kirveelläkään muista, mulla asennus meni jouhevasti läpi vaikka en mitään siitä ymmärtänytkään.

And if you want anyone to fly with just PM me... havnt really gotten into it that much yet(still going easy avionics due to the russian instruments) but ill play this for a long long time and im going to buy it as soon as its released in english.. would be fun to have a wingman. havnt got any friends with a that deep intresst in flying.. (doing my HCPL license IRL soon). nice video mate..

Tuntuu samalta kuin Lock On. Mulla on joku matala Core 2 Duo. Nvidia 8600GT. Ihan sulava pelata. Tää nyt ei mikään silmäkarkki olekkaan.

You get the menus and tooltips in cockpit in english by renaming the file called "ru" in :\Program Files\1C\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\l10n to something else (ru.old)
