Hi sdc888t2, I haven't tried a Yamaha F310, thus it is hard to comment. I've got myself a Yamaha FG580 though which is Japan made guitar with very good sound and quality. I think as those guitars may made in China or somewhere that QC is not so good, you really need to pick one that is most perfect for yourself. Just sit down and play both guitar for awhile and feel which one suit you most. Find someone to try them for you to avoid manufacturing defect. Enjoy and have good time playing guitar.

It is not a slim-body model. That's why its box makes the acoustic sounds good. USD123, very good price.
