  • Oh yeah! Us black people take the prize!

  • I wish he stayed as good as he was in Seattle, he'd probably have 800 (100% steroid free) homers or close to it. I still say he's right behind Willie Mays in homers 4th all-time if you don't count steroid Bonds.

  • Automatic Hall of Fame 1st ballot. Never be another

  • Go Mariners!

  • he is the best to play the game in my eyes just his swing is the best i have ever seen in my life

  • i was at this game and was about to fall asleep when griffey pinch hits then i look and BOOM, WALK OFF CITY!!!

  • the guy recording this is fucking hilarious.

  • when griffey hit a homerun all you would do is see how far it would travel.

  • I'm a Pirate fan and even I was excited for Griffey. My favorite player of all time.

  • I was at this game and watching this shaky, grainy footage still gives me goose bumps, and makes me smile.

  • one of the best players i ever saw

  • Ken Griffey Jr was my Willie Mays, Jr can do it all !

  • no disrespect to the reds and their fans but griffey is and will always be a mariner, no matter what team he played for.

  • @jamesanderson26 he was awesome on the reds though well miss him

  • thats fucking sweet

  • add to my "Walk Off HR's Playlist!

  • fuck yeah i was there

  • That is pure greatness. Thanks a lot Reds for letting him go back to a real team.

  • lol GET OUT OF HERE! GET OUT OF HERE! GET OUT OF HERE! YEAH! YEAH! WHOO!... YEAH! WHOO!

  • Imagine if he was healthly the last 8 years. He might have 800 dingers and no roids. Regardless and in my humble opinion, he is the best all around player ever.

  • I was there!!! he didn't play at all that game until the last ab

  • I'm a Reds fan, and I miss Griffey on the team.

But I know he has a good team that will give him a good home again. :(

  • the best wuality video i have ever seen

  • The best there was and the best there ever will be.

  • GO MARINERS..... Griffey was always bettter for seattle....

  • @wonderz111 well it was nice to have him on my team he and mike leake are my idols

  • Griffey is the greatest ballplayer of our time. No questions asked whatsoever.

He is one hell of a funny guy too. You should've seen him mocking the umpire at last nights game. Priceless. A real nice guy as well.

On top of all the awards he's achieved, you have to remember the most important one of all. He's achieved everything without using steroids like so many other former champions.

And he's achieved everything with a smile on his face.

What a guy. Hail Ken Griffey Jr.

  • Absolutely agreed with everything you said. I love how he's brought back clubhouse leadership to the Mariners' dugout. While he doesn't produce like he did as a young man, he brings all the young guys together. The team isn't as fractious anymore because he came in and brought everyone together. That is one of the key reasons we're a much better team this year. What a leader.

  • LOL yeah I saw that. The guys love him. The fans love him. I wish he could play forever.

  • well said.......

  • @Xmaggot93X def. never took steroids...thats a big one

  • @Xmaggot93X

You are 100 percent correct, as a reds fan we were very disapointed in him after his stellar career in seattle, but he wasnt juicing like so many other of these guys, and if he was the records would have been long gone by now.

  • @Xmaggot93X your damn right

  • Determining the BEST baseball players is a tough thing to do, but thank GOD he didn't take steroids! Him, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, and Ted Williams are like the only top players HR-wise that didn't take roids. So yeah, I'd say him and Ichiro are 2 of the best, and they were/are both on the Mariners. woah

  • that brings tears to my eyes

  • he always walks off home runs. for griffey, a home run is nothing special. also, my friend used to date creg griffey.

  • GRIFFEYS ON THE MARINERS NOW FREAKS

  • you're an idiot, they posted that midway through last season when he was traded to the white sox.

  • i agree jr is the best all around player ever 10 golden gloves,13 all stars top 5 in almost every hitting list and player of the decade no injuries he would own the record point blank TY griffey for the great times you gave me as a kid i loved you and always will

  • Creeper... ?

  • if he didn't get hurt he would have past hank aaron record that how good this guy was

  • i was there i was by the wall on the left side. that was awesome

  • my favorite player...EVER

  • Fans, Griffey is the best there was and the best there EVER will be. You take away the horrific injuries he suffered and the man would easily eclipse the 800 home run mark. Yes I said it, the 800 home run mark. Griffey played the game clean, was THE most spectacular player to ever play the outfield and had a stretch of five years where he could do ANYTHING on the field with ease. Bonds is a roid freak, Manny Ramirez a tool, and A-Rod a complete fraud. Griffey is the greatest ever!!!

  • Also Griffey is one of the classiest baseball players ever.

  • Agreed.

  • Not to mension the most beautiful swing of all time

  • Also agreed.

  • I remember watching this it was like woah he did finally come through.

  • everyone needs to take a step back and appreciate what Junior did for the game

in an era that now has what might end up to be the two most prolific hitters of all time, Bonds and A-Rod, confessing to using roids and going on trial because he lied about using roids, and the best pitcher of the era, Clemens, probably going to jail, JR hit 600 HRS and counting and did it CLEAN

All of these other players avoided injuries by strengthening their muscles with roids, JR took the MLB with a sweet swing

  • he probably would be with ruth or even aaron in homers if he didnt get injured so much

  • The sweetest swing in baseball, Junior will be missed in Cincy.

  • pmac you have forgot about the phenom they call Albert Pujols.

  • he is the best player, and now that we all know a-rod was in fact on the juice. i'd say griffey stands alone in his own elite category of talent. only other hitter close to him from this era i would i agree is Manny, but man, griffey's got the purest most graceful swing ever.

  • everyone knows that griffey jr. is the flippin boss

  • He's handing out W2's left and right. Griffey is the man. ;)

  • This guy and Manny Ramirez are the only home run hitters that I have seen play and not take steriods.

  • best baseball player of our era.....w/all the steroid b.s. his name was never mentioned once,i have doubts w/A-rod,i would like 2 get others opinion

  • A-rod is on roids.

  • he would have been the best though

  • griffey maybe top 25 of all time

  • Try top 10

  • So Long Griffey

  • So Long Griffey, And Thanks

  • Well guess i was lucky enough to see his last home game homerun last saturday vs the Rockies. So Long Griffey good luck as a White Sox

  • Hell yea go White Sox! Griffey is welcomed with open arms! He will be rejuvenated in Chicago, its an exciting place to play. home games are amazing seriously, all the pregame stuff is about the world series which will make him hungry for a ring

  • He's the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

  • I was in right field and there was a Pirates fan about 5 rows behind me who kept heckling Junior when he came in as a defensive sub in the 9th and the guy left between innings and never saw Junior's response :(

  • i saw that like 2 days ago lol

  • get owned pirates
