  • good work here

  • i have adhd and it sucks yah everyone is like i want adhd but its not a fun thing i have 3 Fs and have got kicked out of school 8 times also its not easy to sit still dumbass teachers!

  • im hyper, im out of school already got kicked out, very impulsive and don't give a fuck about anything, hmm i think i do have ADD.. wow.. so that one time my counselor said i was a hunter, not a gatherer was true?? Sweet

  • i have it, and i don't understand how you expect me to sit and read all this...especially with the slides moving so fast...next video plz!

  • I think I have one. I almost always stop in the middle of something and go on daydreaming without realising, The similar thing happens when I am being spoken to, however it's occasional. I sometimes can't control my emotion either. This slightly affects my social interactions with my friends at times. I wish I wasn't like this.

  • Learn the difference between ADD and ADHD! The text does describe ADHD, but NOT ADD!!!!

  • I think I have ADD. Whenever I'm doing homework, I always stop in the middle of it to play games, watch tv, etc. I eventually do finish my homework. Or whenever I read a book, I can't stick with it. I also read a part of one book and jump to another book. I also do the same thing with movies a lot of times. I'm watching a movie and I get bored of it and put on another one.

  • The boys to girls thing is untrue. It's harder to tell if a girl has ADD because she usually just gets distracted but you can't physically see through her behavior.

  • i am unsure if i have add or because i went to a therapist and he said i was severely depressed and that i might have add but i only somewhat got help for the depression

  • hmm this is more about adhd than add. Impulsive hyperactive

  • fk this im goin back to cartoons

  • 23 seconds in i cant stay focused....make it shorter?

  • I stopped at 0:29... I got bored.

  • I am insanely weird and hyperactive, can never sleep, have social problems, and can't pay good attention for more than 30 seconds. Yet, i never get in trouble in school. Do I have ADHD or not?

  • @JRCOLTS87 you have ADHD or autism. you should see a psychiatrist

  • All these years, I suffered academically and in life. and all these years I complained to doctors and family about not able to focus and etc. They all dismissed it as me being lazy and stupid. I always felt that I was worthless and no use to this world. Today I found out I have ADD. Hope to change my life.

  • I have ADD. I've had it since was 6yrs old and am 32 now.

  • I have ADD

  • Comment removed

  • I found it hard to watch the whole vid. I have ADHD. Its boring and some of the points are wrong!!!

  • I could not watch it all the way through I find it distracting. I never acted bad as a child nor did I ever any risky behavior. Some fo this just doesn't fit with me but I do have ADHD.

  • I simply skipped it all.

  • What about adults with ADD/ADHD ? Can they still be treated ?

  • I was lost after 15 seconds. Couldn't keep my attention on it. lol

  • I couldnt hear a damn bit of it !

  • I couldn't even lik it through the first 25 sec of it... I jus couldn't do it

  • adding some music would've made your video more interesting

  • Several of the points in this video are just wrong!

  • some friggin sound would be nice. I don't download youtube videos to READ what i i can already read without downloading some nonsense i have to pause to be able to read, and i read fast. pointless video

  • Perfect slide speed! :D

  • It's way too fast for me, can't read it.

  • i have ADD, i sat thru fine but got impatient a little

  • ....I have ADHD.... & i'm a girl!

  • Dog collars are the cure. The shocking kind. Give everyone a remote and when the ADD person begins to fade into oblivion, push the button and blast him. Pretty soon you will see that his attention will be HUGELY focused.

  • @JohnnyRock2000 doesnt work you idiot. that's the difference between an ADD person and a normal person. An ADD person couldnt focus if it'd cost him his life much less a shock collar. focus isnt a matter of choice like w/ a normal person. focusing on something unstimulating for a normal person is tolerable for up to an hour before the brain gets "hungry" and tired. for an ADD person it's much shorter (like10mins) before the brain literally starves for stimulation. "hugely" <--- stupid word

  • @felix242 - A comment about focusing. An ADD person can focus on things that "interest" them, but when the interest is not there or minimal, the mind chatter moves in and attention is diverted. Divided attention is the result. It is a choice though and not clearly or entirely conscious.ADD'ers can learn to identify when their attention is fading and redirect it, willfully. The tendency to "fade" may have to be identified and addressed every few seconds even and reigned in, but it can be learned.

  • @JohnnyRock2000 You're talking to someone who has ADD and does not take medication. I've gone through highschool and college without medication and I can tell you by experience it's not as easy as you think it is. I took medication for a few months and decided to "change" myself on my own. what u're saying is a lot like telling someone with a deformed leg they need to learn how to run just as fast as the other kids in the gym. you dont have much basis for ur convictions

  • @felix242 How many ADD'ers forget that they are walking down a sidewalk and just walk onto a busy street? If you had to cross a 1/2 mile minefield, when would be the moment that you would start skipping and singing through an imagined meadow? When you're being slapped around by some bully at school, when would you trip into something more pleasant and interesting to think about?People can force themselves to pull out of headspace and focus. People that wander into traffic need the pills for sure.

  • @JohnnyRock2000 U're still not getting the examples I mention...you still seem to think an ADDer can focus just as easily as a normal person. That simply IS NOT the case. It takes multiple times more effort. Sure, a person with a deformed leg can learn how to run. To think the person SHOULD be able to become an olympic track star is simply stupid. You need to understand what happens neurologically in an ADD brain b4 making such judgements. Research dopamine and how it affects pple.

  • @JohnnyRock2000 mayb this is a better analogy: an ADDer is like a race car versus a normal everyday car. A race car is designed to go very fast on a race track; it's not for your everyday driving to a grocery store at mid-speeds. The race car isnt comfortable like a cruiser for long distance trips, and with all it's horsepower it goes through fuel a lot faster.

The speed of the car is like focus. ADDer's can hyperfocus but at the cost of the brain starving (burns fuel too quickly)

  • @JohnnyRock2000 ADDer's will either hyperfocus on something they find stimulating or have close to no focus at all for mundane things. It has to do with abnormal levels of dopamine in the brain and the regulation thereof. You don't understand that an ADDer nearly needs to hyperfocus to be in "reality" and this level of awareness can't be sustained for a long time before the brain tires and "spaces" out. that's what's happening. It just like a car can't go at full throttle for too long w/o ....

  • @JohnnyRock2000 cont...running out of fuel. that's why I supplement with protein. for me to operate I need to be in hyperfocus mode...and to sustain such levels I supplement with protein. Mayb an ADD person can cross a 1/2 mile minefield like a normal person. But make it 5 miles, I'm sure an ADD person would get blown up whereas a normal person would still be walking. u think ADD pple like forgeting things that cost their GPA and job? u think ADDers like getting into car accidents?

  • @JohnnyRock2000 the wiring of an ADD brain is not the same as a normal brain. you can't force someone without perfect pitch to easily distinguish notes even though people can be "trained" to. You can't force someone red/green color blind to distinguish between red and green as easily as a normal person even though they can distinguish red and green by degrees of shade. In the same way, you can't force someone with ADD to focus as easily as a normal person.

  • @felix242 I'm sure that it is not as black and white as that. I'm thinking that it is a matter of degree, in that there are full blow ADD'ers that are off in space 90% of the time and don't know what they had for breakfast and there are also ADD'ers that slowing fade in and out from the "here and now" and back into mindspace and back out here again, but are not considered "vacant" or a "space cadet" by others. Cognitive discipline might work in time for some while others need the "meth".

  • @JohnnyRock2000 you're "HUGELY" stupid

  • ROFLMFFAO! These comments are much more interesting & informative than anything in the video clip. I'm SOOO glad not to be alone here! I can't get any respect from doctors without money or family to back me up. The local mental health service openly admits that they "ignore" ADHD & PTSD. The docs aren't even allowed to discuss it with patients! Can you dig that fecal excrement?

  • @xNothingtoyoux998

A big stain. Terrrible. Did you notice the spider in the corner as well?

He was big. What were you saying?

Yup, i know the feeling. I am 50 and am just coming to terms with this. I started stim. meds but no good. Now i am starting Strattera, like today.

Inattention, perhaps hyperactivity and the ability to hyperfocus at times. If u r intersted, u will be into it but if not interested, forget it. U will be inconsistent. U get overloaded.

    Also, u r a bit of a zny type

  • I have never been dignosed but the syptoms are there i can sit in class when everyone is quite doing their work and i look up and go OMG THERE IS A STAIN ON THE WINDOW or sumthin stupid like that lawwl

  • @nzlook11 Lool I dont really understand what you mean :P

am dumb and what do you mean bu zny type :P x

  • yeah fuck this

  • I stopped watching video at 0:08 sec.....

  • I don't know how anyone with ADD would be able to sit through this. I'm leaving halfway though.

  • @Seastone88 Totally, I stopped at 0:29 :)

  • @Seastone88

I couldnt concentrate because of your brilliant comment :)

  • @Seastone88 Damn right. How can you pretend to be some kind of expert on the subject, and then make a video to put on the net, that has no form action in it. I mean, what the fuck dawg, come on. Remake, do it right.

  • @Seastone88 agreed i started looking at the tv

  • @Seastone88 I have ADD and couldn't do it. But, I came back to it because I have counter-coping mechanisms in place by actively increasing my awareness to losing attention. I have a problem thinking that this is strictly biological. Somewhere in my gut feeling is a doubt or a blame on the parents, for not doing the discipline when the child is being disruptive or hyperactive. I know its after adulthood has been established, but part of changing the behavior is to know the reality.

  • I like having ADD its nothing that needs to be cured imo, makes me feel special *giggle*

  • The statement, that many agree on the main symptoms of the "condition", says absolutely nothing medical. I can agree that a child is acting up in a particular social situation, but might not agree that there is a neurological basis to such behavior. The latter has yet to be proven. Instead, there are a number of deflecting theories to explain (mis)behavior. ADHD is unwanted behavior, not a medical condition. And "medicating" children is poisoning!

  • Neurobehavioral developmental disorder? This a rather roundabout means of looking to sound medical, when in fact, there are NO tests, to date, that shows any neuroanatomical anomolies in ADHD children. However, the absence of such still makes no difference, as millions of children continue to be poisoned.

  • lmfao. I have it :)

  • @Kevinpwnz

Me too. Doctor, i need Adderall right now!

  • @Kevinpwnz The why are grinning like an idiot?

  • @Kevinpwnz if you have it, i dont know why its funny to you and those 9 other people. ADHD isnt funny. it affects school, work, relationships, etc. and more. if you laugh at it, you definitely dont suffer from ADHD and your exaggerating.

  • lol
