  • One of the comments says that there was a hotel 18-20 miles away going East, the thing was that they didnt know where they were, the pilot told them "We passed Curico" "We passed Curico", so the most reasonable thinking was to go West to the green valleys of Chile. Plus, there were many wild rivers before to get the hotel. Who knows if they could make it.

  • the film is a lot less gruesome than the book. THey dont show the characters wearing socks made out of human skin as they did in the book.

  • When Alberto dies, it breaks my heart each time.

  • They actually did travel east just for a research and development expedition just to see how far they could get in a day, thats when they found the tail. The tail cartwheeled down the mountain after impact and settled in the valley. So again the info in this movie is a little backwards but it has to be so hard to get all the info right and put it into a 2 hr movie that flows.

  • A lot of the survivors werent that old, so as to grow insane bum lookin beards, hell IM 25 and I can go 2 months without shaving and all i'll grow is a medium thick mustache, my beard has very esporadic growth level. The only UNREALISTIC look was that of Nando because Ethan Hawke for some unknown reason refused to grow his full beard. Also, when they were rescued, as weak as they were, these men ran to comb AND shave when found. it is documented.

  • I dont like the fact that they screwed up the story of the little red shoes. For one Nando gave the shoe to Carlitos and two in this movie Nando tells Edwardo when their a pair again he ll be going home which was false bc they came back after the tail. They should of waited till the final expedition for Nando to give Edwardo the shoe thats all. Bad editing...

  • Seriously..

I dont think anyone gets the 'seriousness' of the movie.

The true story was horrible and painful yet people comment here like its one big joke ? -.-

  • after 50 days, shouldn't they all have long, greasy hair and serious beards?

  • @wafflewaffle90 Their hair is greasy and most peoples hair doesn't grow more than an inch per month so they aren't going to have super long hair since it was only about 2 months, also they shaved as they said in the documentary.

  • @wafflewaffle90 send your comments to the director. The real people lost weight too.

  • Eat too much chocolate and you'll get constipated. Wow that sounds really gross. But its true, right?

  • If they would have walked east instead of west, there was a motel 18 miles away.

  • @peetzaguy1 That is true but there was a massive river that they would of had to cross and I believe it was almost impossible to cross it with the materials they had. But hey it has been said that climbing a 15,000 ft mountain w no equipment or supplies is impossible too so who the fuck knows... These were pretty willful people

  • yes you are totally right pamperd gurl

  • i love the way their hair didnt grow what so ever or theit facial hair

  • @lenwad1 Were you watching watching the movie at all. By the end they all had facial hair with an exception of maybe two people who may not have been able to grow facial hair since there are people in real life who can't. Learn to pay attention before you make comments.

  • What have I learned from this movie; never eat all your food because you "think you are about to be rescued". Only anticipate rescue when there is clear concrete proof that you are being rescued.

  • I love Carlitos! his name is similar to mine

  • kool;

  • we had a booklet! lol lol

  • What I remind of this movie is that God is always with us, we have to save ourselves but there's always a way to feel better and to not lose faith. With friends, brothers and sisters, we can make it right. God bless you all.

  • @Libelluulee and who the fuck are you? Tiny Tim?

  • 5:38 LOL

  • @labibr actually pretty accurate, because a lot of them were too young to grow substantial facial hair.

  • Federico would be a sweet friend to have..

  • Pampergurl has a point. But in my opinion this was just the biggest experience anyone could ever have. While bear grylls eats bugs and tree bark and shit, these guys are eating people. Fucking hard core.

  • @DeBoer753 I agree :)

And aditionally, Bear Grylls has the Oportunity to go to a bar and have something good to drink and eat, to flush away the bad taste, while this was real :)

  • i bet after surviving this. The rest of the problems in their lives seemed like a walk in the park.

  • What would the remainder of one's life look like every day following an experience like this? What a thing...

  • 8:20 this dude is what some people would call a whiny little bitch

  • This is just horrific

  • at 5 35 ish, thats fez of that 70s show

  • @HeadlessHorsemen883 it's actually that Italian dude from the movie Titanic who had that big part of the ship fall on him

  • @Pats55583 italians do it better guy. Remember it

  • @Pats55583 and he was also one of the Port Authority police in World Trade Center with Nic Cage... the guy likes real life disaster movies...

I see him looking up at the twin towers thinking 'This is nothing... I was on the Titanic with James Cameron!''

  • is anyone learning anything from this movie? i sure am. no matter what your going through, if these boys can do it, why can't you? and your situation is most likely much better then theirs.

Instead of sitting around wallowing in doom, these guys got up and did something about their situation, and LOOK! Results!!!

  • @pamperedgurl

    Can you just like...stop talking?

  • @pamperedgurl yes you are right

  • @pamperedgurl wow i never knew u were gay

  • @pamperedgurl i agree with you 100 percent!

  • @pamperedgurl

actually that's the message they try to give to people who hire them to give them motivation

  • @pamperedgurl "Those who can't, sit on their asses and moan. Those who can, do something to change their situation"

  • @pamperedgurl who the fuck are you...Barney the dinosaur? Take that goody-feel positive bullshit someplace else

  • 2:38 looks delicious if you think it's wild animal meat. Not so much when you remember it's human meat...

  • 0:15 - iPhone?

  • @Massimo1GK perfect thinking there by a illumanati

  • @TheJoopstar which thinking are you talking about?

  • Couldnt they make a sled and drag the battery down the mountain?

  • @FullyAutoMathmatics The tail was downhill from them.

  • @Massimo1GK I feel sorry for you. I think you are brainwashed. Religion is not fiction. There is a God and people like you will find out you were wrong when it's too late.

  • @nikkidanielle1969 Imagine how sorry I feel to see so many delusional people around..guess It takes time to get over the puberty of spirituallity that religion is..good luck with your learning curve, you're stack at the ground floor for now

  • @Massimo1GK

I feel sorry for you, not only for ur lack of respect for people with a religion but in my eyes youre an unempathetic poindexter, and if you are from italy ur shit out of luck my friend.

  • @SuperPingvinen Yea I agree about the "shit out of luck" expression since I live in a country that is still pretty backward about the separation between state and church; I feel even more "unlucky" to live near the center of the shit-hole aka the Vatican city. Let me be very brief with you: the belief of another person doesn't mean nothing to me when they can't be challenged, discussed or exclude any critical-thinking based discussion which something that is beyond the capability of any

  • @SuperPingvinen religious person. If a person has a problem with that and can't live with my "luxury" way of thinking that It means that his belief system has truly some weak foundations. Organized religions are truly the weak bonding for the weak minded, any REAL spiritual person can see that by him/herself. But unlike the "I feel sorry" deluded community I won't try to fix you or anyone else.As Tolstoj once said "Everybody thinks of changing humanity and nobody thinks of changing himself"

  • @Massimo1GK than it means*

  • @Massimo1GK But cant you agree your a part of the italian church throu out holidays (christmas) or all the monumment, as far I know italy is one religous MF not at least as you mentioned the Vatican city lol.

Culturally your trapped its like your dad says "I fuck your mom" you cant argue about that!

Im atheist so dont mix me in that soup you have there.

  • @SuperPingvinen Yea I know It sucks and so since you're an atheist like you claim, what EXACTLY is your point here?

  • @Massimo1GK

My point is that religion isnt a threat or the main reason why the world is bad, I dont think for ex al queda kill persons just becuse they have the wrong religion its rather a factor unsted of saying "we kill you for power/fear".

I dont call my self an atheist how ever becuse they often are more of the extremist among the non-beliving persons.

  • @SuperPingvinen Atheist aren't generally different from religious people (not spiritual people..big difference),in the sense that yes they too have faith in something, science in this case. From an overall point of view though I have much better conversations with an atheists since they tend not to flush down the drain their critical thinking skills. If I see people preaching over here about their fairy tales then to balance things out I have the ethic impulse to put a break on their delusions.

  • @Massimo1GK no one cares about ur opinion

  • @jmfr030201 no one cares if you'd stop breathing like..NOW

  • @Massimo1GK wat are u talkng about? go take out the foot u got up ur ass

  • @jmfr030201 Pull your head out of your ass you dumbass

  • @SuperPingvinen b) People should have once in a while the humility to say "I don't know" instead of trying to teach what they think is true and/or right all over the place. I reject in total every way of thinking that is based on doing what is told regardless if It's right or true, and atheism is not even near the level of religion on this matter. People are free to believe any kind of crazy stuff they want but they should refrain from selling their home-made truth as the real deal..

  • @Massimo1GK

Intressting point there, what is your opinon on the milgram experiment.

  • @Massimo1GK shut the fuck up, i came here to watch this film, i don't give a fuck what you think

  • @revolutiongeorge revolutionMORON GO PLAY WITH YOUR TOYS haha

  • @Massimo1GK thanks for putting the film up and everything, but really, no-one wants to talk to you. we only came for the film.

  • @revolutiongeorge then just watch the movie you idiot cause nobody is talking to YOU

  • @Massimo1GK i actually agree with your views but i didn't come for a debate about religion, i came to watch this film.

  • @revolutiongeorge nobody gives a shit about what you came for, just watch it and don't READ..genius

  • @Massimo1GK back up bitchnigga

  • @SuperPingvinen anyway as much as It sucks It's not anymore the Italy of 50 years ago neither. The US,I'm a resident there too,are in way worse conditions from that point of view with a bigotry level that would make a southern Italian Roman catholic look like Richard Dawkins

  • TOOTHPASTE!!!!!! DELICIOUS!!!!"

  • That thing with the shoes is true.

  • if they want to keep warm y dont they have sex, if there not bum chums atleast fuck the chic

  • "our lives depend on you radio Roy" LOL

no wonder that one foto he had a meanie face

  • God didnt get them out of that nando's love and passion to survive.

  • @Massimo1GK A plane crash proves the idea of God is fiction? Some people believe in God but dont follow a religion.

  • @RevengeofShinobi1 How does a plane crash prove that God is fiction? God doesn't prevent bad things from happening, he gives us the strength to deal with bad things. I would love to know your proof of why God is fiction. You have no proof because God is real..

  • @nikkidanielle1969 Thank you, this was actually my point.

  • Roy stfu!

  • This movie shold be labled as a mild comedy......Its so disrepectful to the real people that went thought this ! If you going to make a movie.....get the facts straight... Its like there making a joke about this ! There to clean washed and gromed......sure go a mouth or two with out a shave and a shower see how you look.........give me a break

  • @wellyaa It's movie! And the real "Nando" was there to help them direct hence why he appeared in the last part. The real guys gave them their approval before and after the movie.

  • @wellyaa the movie was made with the advice and supervision of some of the survivors, so i guess most of the stuff they say and do is true.. but also remember that this is a movie and they have to make it entertaining to watch while learning about what happened in real life. It could have been more realistic though.

  • how is that one guy clean shaven?

  • @TomahawkTerror

Because they take into account fate and the fact that truth is beyond emotions.

  • why is roy always have to be shouting?!

  • Anybody notice that Roy, the one they want to fix the radios, is the guy off of superbad that was in the room when Michael Cera sang the song while they did coke.

  • @macaframa12 ha, i remember that guy.

  • @merceditas2009 fuck yes

  • @macaframa12 correct, thats Kevin Breznahan!

  • toothpaste n chocolate interesting combo :)

  • @rapper2k8 think of mint chocolate chip ice cream XD

  • clean underwear!

  • tooothpaste!! its delicious!!! lmaoo favorite partt:)

  • Carlitos...you're just too funny :)

  • "i feel snug as a bug" haha, yeah i can see uruguayans saying that..Love this movie but its so hollyfied

  • @TomahawkTerror GOsh, who cares ! it gave them hope..didn't you hear what the narrator said about a diff god from the one they have grown up knowing..something paramount compared to religion!!!!!!!!

  • @Massimo1GK I disagree completely when is the true that faith is the last thing they had it was rather disrepectful to call religion fiction when you probably don't know the half of this story and it's people but that's my oppinion , maybe you should read or upload parts of movies instead that talk about having faith in whatever it is whether is a god or just faith in life

  • guys believe it is religon but who knows it might help god might always be looking upon us giving us faith

  • @TomahawkTerror ..It' not like if you belive in God then your life is full of happiness and your are safe from everything...as long as you live in the world you have difficuitis who overcome is blessed

  • @TomahawkTerror glad im not the only one that rolled my eyes everytime they talked about god.

Hallelujah god has saved us! cant you feel it?

God: idiots, here, have an avalanche.

  • fuck...Tin Tin actor is hella hot!

  • Everyone's teeth are white and everybody looks filled out. Hawke and others are clean shaven. Hmm.

  • I wish this movie would had Uruguayan actors. it would have made it more realistic. Well at least for me because I am Uruguayan...

  • that fouride toothpaste'll kill you bro

  • I salute Fernando.Clearly if he was not there these people would have never gotten out of the Andes alive.

  • I know right they cant shave

  • after 50 days their beards would have been alot longer

  • more food!

  • The part in the beginning of this clip with Federico and Alberto is so sad...

  • They should have went down the mountains and find help instead of looking for the stupid plane tail

  • I was thinking the same on their little sleds.

  • @169Phoenix It was hundreds of mountains around them

  • @barri39 What do you mean theres hundreds of mountains around them? There was only 1 mountain that they were on

  • Haha I love 6:00 :) It's funny. These people make the little things funny from all they went through.

  • Take the sleds with u

  • cool

  • You sick bastard! U need help!!!!!

  • relly none of us no the true story now unless u were their or no some one that was their SHUT UP and enjoy the frekin movie

  • Roy is the only nonhispanic name and is the pansy of the group lol

  • jawannablaze to b honest roy wasnt a pansy of the group...as he was one of the youngest there. He was scared...they all were scared. In nandos book he stated that roy was portrayed wrong both in the book and film. He helped the group evolve. Non of them were pansys!!

  • Thats right, i would love to see anyone on youtbue calling anyone a pansy in that situation, they would be worse! I would bet on it.

  • RedOne would you jump of a cliff if they told you to do so? What you've said is pure bollocks non of them died mysteriously....as u claim. And they hardly cooked meat due to lack of materials. Ur mates r talking out their arses!!!!

  • The true story is what they told, they sometimes cooked the meat and none of them died misteriously.. tell your guys that they should investigate more

  • someone farted at that part

  • Toothpaste is edible?

  • Nando saved everyone....he's the hero

  • no I think roberto and carlito did more by lifting spirits. while nando states what everone else could of thought of on their own

  • ok I take some of that back, nando saved everyone with his speech to go on, and getting the helicopters

  • Are there any survivors in the actual event?

  • Yeah the one guy Nando Parrado made a book Miracle in the Andes.Awesome book ;]

  • they are all alive in uruguay

  • The writers of the film changed some of the names as these people died in the actual event and to be sypathetic 2 their families they changed the names

  • Holy Crap! I have had nightmares about eating toothpaste.

  • Sure.. eat fluoride it's good for you...

  • That guy who was fixing the radio at 5:34 was in that movie superbad no way I just realized it!

  • I DONT WANNA GO! I DONT WANNA GO TO THE SNOW!!! "cries" how much further.... lmfao

  • could of made it more realistic you know exsept for just a bit of facial hair growth after 50 days without a wash you would look all kinds of messed up.

  • oh thats wonderful , they go and have wonderful funerals for them and then EAT them...

'may you rest in piece. or, piecES, see as how I SHALL EAT YOU! >:]'

just joking i know they had to survive and they said when they die their friends can eat them. please dont give me a lecture.

  • @BRiiTTNEYx I was actually waiting for them to finish the funeral prayer with "and please bless the food we're about to recieve." I would have anyway, but I've never been very good with somber moments and the idea of eating human flesh freaks me out a lot less than most people I know.

  • @BRiiTTNEYx

    BRiiTTNEY estas hablando mierda

  • All the god talk wore me out.

  • They tried to eat leather also

  • In the interviews, they ate hair gel and aftershave too

  • They were sooooo lucky to have so many people there. They would've gone crazy otherwise

  • They look too good for this to ever be realistic. Their skin would be fucked UP.

  • Agree with that, especially if they're compared to the actual pictures of the real survivors!

  • @Massimo1GK Good point - the real people lost tons of weight, had severe sunburn, and couldn;t ever wash themselves or their clothing. The producers have to pretty it up for audiences somehow or the movie would never sell.

  • @Tracy3686 they maintaince their warmth by huddling together and with the blanket. they eat at least, and wear right cloth and do not waste energies. they move around alot, that produces sweat, they fill up their sweat with the ice they melt to drink.

this is how they are lively. team spirit. those who dies like that religious guy is one that dont move around, do not eat and has no spirit.

remember, what u think is what u become.

  • The dude is dying, knows he is dying, but feels close to God because of it. He is calling the process beautiful- not the other guy. What are you 12?

  • how do they go 50 days and still have baby like skin? they must have had showers and shavers off the plane somewhere on teh mountain

  • @ti039835 compeletely agree..u said my words..

  • 50 days, holy fuk, those guys were real survivors.
