  • Can anyone name the piece of music being used right at the start of this excellent documentary? I'm convinced its 1970's Prog Rock. Any help in narrowing it down would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

  • @lardymonkey Not a prog band. Its 'She cries your name' by British singer songwriter Beth Orton. Came out in the mid 90's I think.

  • @mobias7 Thank you ever so much for pointing me towards Beth Orton, who sounds to me like a British Joni Mitchell. I was aware of her but never quite got round to getting any of her albums. I'll be getting a copy of Trailer Park directly. Thanks again and for uploading a wonderful documentary. BBC4 is about the only decent channel left on British telly these days. Celebrity dancing et al has replaced thought provoking programming. All rather sad really.

  • @lardymonkey 'Northern Sky' by Nick Drake is also used later in the documentary. Not sure about some of the other music.

  • Who the hell would dislike this??

  • can't help but think of the number square of sorts in the artwork for aerial by Kate Bush, which I remember were also used both truthfully and falsely in Masquerade. There are certainly a lot of comparison between the two.

  • As soon as I see his work I just think of Kate Bush. That would be something, an album of Kates music with art by Kit. A Kit Kat.

  • @MrFrontallobotomy You are my soul mate

  • I've put Kit's name in the title now so more people can find it. I uploaded it all quite soon after it was broadcast and I didn't want to upset Kit or the BBC before the show's US rights were sold. However I knew a lot of people who wanted to see it but missed it. Now that a decent amount of time has passed I've made it public. The BBC are reasonably cool about things getting left up here.

CurlyEllen09. Thanks for sharing the info. Must have been amazing to be involved in.

  • I was really pleased to see this on here. I played Kit's alter ego, the fairy in the programme and it was truly an honour to meet such a genius and talented artist. An experience I will remember forever :)

  • Great vids, though i think there would be more views if you had in the title, or description Kit Williams...

  • @rorrt sadly, i imagine the title is to keep it hidden from the BBC who would ask it to be taken down :(

Think of it as a special secret :)

  • @slackerjames

your secret is safe with me...
