its too good a game with way too much content to make it free, they couldn't afford the upkeep of 6 races, and a FUCKING GIGANTIC world, plus the millions of other details in the game like mounts and weapons

One thing I like is the fact that you can't move through other characters. Everything is solid, so blocking can be a tactic.

Contrary to WoW where an enemy can walk through you and attack mages behind you.

i had spent so much time playing lineage craft-dwarf in so many servers i had lots of fun after becoming warsmith lvl 60+ with big boom, but it was so furstrating making it that high lvl each time, darkfall gives me freedom (i hope, looks like it at least) to focus on what i only care about and experiment crafting and become better and better crafter while I do that, I honestly cant wait, ty and gbye, hope to see you all in game. btw ty for this unique audio-video.

feature wise, for sure, They mentioned that it would be very scalable for performance, but they also hinted that they would make it so no graphics scaling gives anybody an edge. For example, This game will take use of vegetation and flora so people can hide better seeing as there are no direct name tags over head, they will make it impossible for people to just turn off the flora so it is unfair, which is awsome

System requirements seems to be very low compared to other newly released MMORPG:s like Age of Conan. Its low polygon graphics in Darkfall cause Devs seem to think that gameplay own graphic, and i agree. And to be honest, Darkfall graphics is superb. Just love there dark, gothic style.

Let's not forget that Age of Conan is fully instanced with zones and has a limit on army size. All in order to have next-gen graphics, is that worth the hit to gameplay? I doubt it.

Darkfall will have none of that and still look pretty good. Plus it's got physics that can make boats sway at sea from massive winds, obstruct a player's view in gastly weather, create smoke from fire, players can be lit on fire and then put themselves out in water, decapitations are in, etc.

lol hell - a direct thing the devs said is that all items in the game can be crafted and are all EASY to get! so no u wont be the best if u play all the time - if someone really uses their character beyond its ability - you dont need to play 24/7 for that

Darkfall seems amazing, I know it's been worked on for 5+ years. I just learned about it yesterday and I'm already itchin' to play it. I don't like the idea of the monthly fee though. Probably gonna give it a try and see if it's worth the fee.

4 newbies "characters" will be able to take on a veteran. There is an alignment system, if you go "evil" NPC's will not sell you things and guards will target you on sight. Also, if you die, everyone can loot anything from you, so no, grinding is not a part of this game.

WoW didn't surprise anyone with flying mounts, everyone knew it was a upcoming feature years before it came out.

Darkfall will not need flying mounts because you can go anywhere by foot (climb, swim, etc). That's not to say flying mounts are not something for the future, but DFO has enough features to blow WoW out of the water as it is.
