  • Looks like very Reaper-friendly maps... I approve.

  • I think Protoss will have a hard time with this new maps :(

  • All the new maps are heavily macro oriented, which is Zerg's strength.

    I'm glad we have new maps but I find that some of them have very wide areas making it extremely easy for zerglings to overwhelm everything.

    P.S.: I play Random.

  • @Hynjia well zerg could do well on it before, but now with the removal of the cliff, a higher % of zerg winnings is gonna happen.

  • Ya, I definatly think they are trying to get morep oeple to play Zerg, sincei t is the least played race, probably ever since the +1 roch range and huge building buffs.

  • The one that looks like Junkyards seems to have a severe lack of bases

  • @kb39295 theres 4 mains and 6 expos. not enough? i think it adds an element of fast paced action

  • The fact that the Desert Hills map doesn't have symmetry relative to the gold bases/third base is retarded. If you spawn at the bases near the golds, your third will ALWAYS be the gold expo. If you spawn at the other two however, you'll probably be forced to take the expo with "harass hill" right next to it.

  • The desert map will have to be cross position spawns only or it will be asymmetrical and zergs will mega rage

  • These maps are horrible besides lost temple 2. Its like they picked the worst map (Delta Quadrant) as a template and modeled everything after that. Test map 5 (aka. Crystal Forest) looks like a bad version of shakuras. Imagine TVZ in that map close positions. The terran can just break down the backdoors and zergs wont be able to touch them considering how small that choke is.

  • Hey Josh there is one thing you missed on Test Map 4. You can Siege some ones main from the low ground where you said a pylon could be placed for warp in's. As long as Terran has vision of the High ground they can hit your main from that spot because of the short proximity. to see what I'm talking about look at 9:46 in the video

  • The second map is both horizontally and vertically symmetrical

  • I'm actually not sure about these maps... Lost Temple 2.0 looks amazing tho. Hopefully they disable the close-by-ground positions like for shakuras plateu, because otherwise the third (former island expo) will give Terran an un attackable expo against Zerg.
