Sir, I have a cousin that recently changed his name and he's looking get a loan. His credit score is not that great (640) and yet oddly enough, he works to help others improve their credit. He asked me if I would put him on my credit card so that he can get his loan and then after he secures the loan, I can take him off my card. I'm following my intuition and not going to do it. But would doing this hurt my excellent credit rating?
I have a question for you. I live in Illinois, and my wife and I are both on the mortgage, but only my wife is on the note. If our house goes into foreclosure, would my credit be affected? Also, if I buy another home in my name only, can the bank put a lien on my new house? And can they garnish my wages? Please advise. Thanks!
