  • Is that not Michael Tilson Thomas? He's the conductor of the San Francisco Symphony.

  • they should have and add an official chorus too and performance Mozart Requiem :) cause their quality is awsome

  • i went here for a field trip!

  • Dude. Gil Shaham is a freak. I was a fan since his awesome (not) music video for winter. But it still shocks the hell out of me when I watch him play.

  • To a laymans ears... this was beautiful!

  • Wow, that Roger Federer is one talented guy!

  • One of my favorite pieces played in this concert. And Hunt the Squirrel. Maybe that's only because I favor violins, but Gil Shaham is great.

  • not an intonation problem its a grace note. they weren't together.

  • I'm not impressed. The Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar sounds better. But Gil sounds great!

  • HfM&Co.

  • HOOOWOW Shaham the stacatto in 7:50 min thats great....

  • Is that Bartok pizzicato added in about halfway through?

  • wonderful technique

  • 3:49 Shahams reaction to the intonation issues in the orchestra is priceless HAHAHA

  • LOL As youtube would call it buffering fail :O!

  • I don't think that was an intonation problem, was it? Isn't that how the melody is? With the grace note. F to F sharp.

  • @musician1245780

i think his reaction isnt meant to the grace note. He looks surprised before. The orchestra entrance wasnt very got together in the group and also not that good in tune.

  • @musician1245780 It is O:

  • @musician1245780

    i agree

  • @musician1245780

Yeah but he nailed it and the orchestra only so-so. You can hear the difference and I think he smirked because of it.

  • @holmesau OH LOL, Thas hi-la-i-ous :D

  • @holmesau LOL more practice :D:D:D

  • terrible intonation in the first violins at 3:50. sounds like more than a couple forgot what key the piece is in sheesh!

  • jeje yeap.. in fact he smiled xp

  • It's not intonation. It's just that the section didn't play the grace notes together. (F to F sharp). Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Heh it is supposed to be F to F sharp but it sounds like some people close to the mic might have played an E to F sharp. In any case, the half step was not tight enough and they weren't even together.

  • cool he's using a comford!

  • what a masterpiece.....

  • Gil Shaham plays with a rich tone but i must admit that Anna-Sophie Mutter has better expression and she is more virtuosic

  • I love you mozart. good...

  • wow i never heard like these music its beautifull!!!!

  • virtuosity (if such word exists) in its highest form, to say the least! thanks for this posting.
