@HACHETOOTH that girl is indeed Jordan and although Jordan was not an official member of the Ants, she had performed with Adam & The Ants a few times. Jordan was pretty much responsible in having Malcom McLaren meet with Adam -McLaren for a short time managed Adam. Jordan also introduced Adam to Marco Pirroni. They are still very close friends to this day.

The Sex Pistols, yeah they rawk, if you think RUINING the concepts and artistic desiribility of punk is cool. They RUINED punk music. Overrated assholes.
If anything, they were underrated. Punk killed itself by becoming a parody of itself. Even John Lydon was quoted years after as saying, "the concept of true anarchy would have been a mistake. For a society to function properly, there has to be order."
Jello Biafra said pretty much something along those lines earlier.
Music changes, sometimes for the worse. Adam and the Ants were creative, artistic, and original. And they happen to be one of John Lydon's favorite bands of that period.
@troubleontheline66 Why would you expect a property developers attitude to be any different? Turns out Talcum Malcolm McLaren was more of an anarchist than Johnny Rotten ever was! I have to say it doesn't much sound like something Jello might say but I'll take your word for it. I guess when Killing Joke allow their songs to be used for Playstation games, anything is possible!
@troubleontheline66 What would you expect from a property developer? Lydon has become a self parody of himself. All you need to know of his anarchist credentials, is that he had squatters evicted from, I think it was his Ladbroke Grove property, around 25 years ago! Ironic that his resemblance to his nemesis Talcum Malcolm goes beyond the mere physical. Have a read of Jah Wobbles "I was a geezer". No wonder Keith Levene made off with the Commercial Zone master tapes.
Johnny Rotten is the first person that comes to mind when I think punk. However Adam Ant has always had a better voice. I really wonder what his music would of sounded like had he continued being mainstream punk, and not ventured to the more rockabilly stuff.
I do stand corrected. While some of his stuff I consider rockabilly, he did go new romantic. Thanks for pointing that out. It's been far too long for me to remember that stuff lol.
@jbgandhi2 If you mean that New Romanticism led to New Wave, as far as I see it, New Romanticism was more of a subcultural event with strong ties to early British New Wave. New Wave in and of itself could be regarded as a type of Post Punk that turned into something largely removed from its origins.

Anyone got any idea where Jordan is now? I heard she was living in quiet seclusion in a small town near Brighton (Peacehaven - home of Peter and the Test Tube Babies!), breeding cats! I havent seen her in many a long year!
F-ant-astic pics (sorry!). It was ace reading in his autobiography about the early years of the Ants. I got into them during Antmusic, but I was only 9!! Chrz for posting.
Apparently she's a vet nurse near the coast in England. Interesting personage - would love to meet her - I bet she has some stories to tell! At least there were some half attractive shots here. I always thought she was an ugly little fattie and couldn't believe the gorgeous Adam actually had sex with her!
I'm sure he must have had sex with her . . . he was besotted with her! He used to send her little love notes and watch her when she was working at SEX.
according to Jordan and her ex husband and Adam as well they never had sex. Adam was seeing Carol Ann Mills when he was with Jordan and Jordan liked Kevin.
Adam was enthralled by Jordan and her style but he wasn't attracted to her, they were best of friends. He did a tell tale in his book of his lovers (from his diary) and she was never one of them.
I love your info. Thanks. I haven't read his book yet. Even though I don't think she's attractive her 'out there' attitude is so appealing and because of that so is she. Thanks again.
also: they were really close when they were in the band together. She sang on "Lou" she did one night (as he said) carve the word FUCK in his back so that it made him keep his shirt on for a show.
that was a bit bizarre. but so was Jordan.
where did you get your info about the love notes? I am totally interested.
I thought she carved 'fuck' to keep him faithful - as if that was ever gonna happen! If it wasn't in England's Dreaming it may have been on the Punk77 website. I'm pretty sure it was in the book.
I found this on the Punk77 site but I know there's more somewhere. "Adam used to send me love letters in the early days. I've still got them somewhere. He invited me down to a gig....everything went wrong, but in Adam I saw something very special. Anyway I got involved in the band - I nurtured and pushed them. I was a manager and yet more than a manager. I finished with Adam for a while when he insisted on signing to Decca. I thought it was a wrong move and I was proved right."
me like.

I agree she isn't attractive.

The love notes were mentioned in Jon Savage's book called England's Dreaming. Great read.

I thought she carved 'fuck' to keep him faithful - as if that was ever gonna happen! If it wasn't in England's Dreaming it may have been on the Punk77 website. I'm pretty sure it was in the book.

Oh, Jordan also mentions that she still has the notes somewhere!

No..what Bodacious said. I read his autobiography and Jordan and Adam were close friends and confidants, that's it.
Whoever posted this...THANK YOU! I love vintage Adam Ant.
