  • Have faith brother i had a injury that they said would never get much better they said a success would be a 20-30% reduction in my pain now im 90% better going back to work and able to lead a almost normal life.

    So hang in there camper!

  • well what do u think of dr motyka? i been driving 3 and half hrs one way to see this dr in sc... i cant afford to do this anymore plus its just a pain in the ass esp if theres a closer one... i already seen another dr and he was useless and i just wasted my money... if u had a choice between dr hines or motyka which one would u choose if u were me... my main concern is my low back , followed by my shoulder.... i have a weird injury in low back ive seen over a dozen drs...

  • @joeyoung8

I think Dr. Motyka is a very good prolotherapist and very knowledgable. He's not just a prolotherapist, he is a D.O. and doens't market it as the be all end all of therapies. However, I watched my wife, who's back would go out at least 3 times a year from a herniated disk at L3/L4, heal after 4 prolotherapy treatments with the standard dextrose solution. He know walks, jogs, and uses an elliptical, and is not limited in anything she wants to do around the house.

  • Dr. Motyka has the most reasonable cost of any Hacket-Hemwell, although that's not what he would call it, prolotherpist I have seen. I have heard good things about Dr. Hines but have no personal experience to pass along. Research him on the internet, or do an initial consult with him and you can answer that one for yourself. Best of luck.

  • How much relief did you get are you more active now?

  • Yes. I have hypermobility syndrome which affects my whole body which is why you see me getting prolo'd everywhere. So it has been a catalyst for physical therapy. I currently lift kettlebells which are shoulder friendly if you work with a certified RKC and get medical clearance (I had a Dr. of PT and she was an RKC). For some conidtions it completely heals you, for me I will always have to work. But I coach, exercise, have a stressful job, father of 2, married... I'm active. Hope that helps

  • This was Dr. Hauser in Chicago. I have seen Dr. Steven Blievernicht in Asheville and Dr. Tom Motyka. I understand there is a Hacket-Hemwall prolotherapist just outside of Charlotte named Dr. Mark HInes. I've heard good things about him. His rates are about the same as everyone elses... this is an expensive therapy. I have called his office and he sounded legit. If it were me, which you are not, I would at least have a consultation if it wasn't too expensive. Hope this helps.

  • hey can i ask u which dr here is performing your therapy? i live right outside of charlotte and have been driving almost 4 hrs each way to get therapy in sc

  • he is full of holes on his back he likes the needle pain I guess. I hate needles. My God shut the fuck up you talk more than a woman. Be quiet how can you concentrate while you are punching holes bleeding though puncture to veins and capilaries. if you paid attention put some nice no words " music" ocean breeze something instead of talking how can you see what you are doing you are guided by the old scars my lord the needle is too rough. You are destroying the skin.

  • rddbba...

Nice language buddy. You can't see it but they gave me sharp combs (hair combs) to hold onto and I am doped up on Tramadol and Xanax... hence the talking. You try taking the pain without those and see how you come through it. I hate the pain, but not worse than the pain I was having. Now I'm on the other side of pain buddy, partially because of my no quit up beat, never say die attitude you like to dump on. Deal with pain your own way, this helped me along the way... ignorant.
