  • i think you have fine natural hair...my hair is like that too...it looks so thin relaxed

  • you are sooooo beautiful! And your hair in this vid just looks great!

  • Your hair is soooooooooooo funky fresh! Do you miss that length? I've been natural for like 7 years, and it was so much easier to style my hair when it was shorter.

  • I also looove KBB and I am serious pj..lol

  • I stumbled upon your channel through Black girl with long hair! your hair is so beautiful!!!!

Like you, going natural had a spiritual meaning :)

  • I hide behind my hair too! So many people always compliment how long and pretty my hair is, and when people found out I want to go natural they were asking me why? And acting like I was crazy. Im happy to find someone who can understand me.

  • i saw you on bglh! i love ur earrings!!

  • I totally understand what you mean by hiding behind your hair. I was the same way to the point that I became obsessed and was using a curling iron every morning to get the "right look", perming my hair every three to four weeks, and dying it as well. Soooo many ppl do not understand why I went natural but it is for a deeper reason and meaning.

  • Wow!!! All those products look wonderful. So what shampoo have you been using you dropped Pantene? Can you write the list of those products on the description page? Do you have an update on other products?

  • Love ya hair! Were did you get your earrings? I Need Them NOW!!! lol

  • Thanks doll!! Girl from like a cheap vendor in NYC. they were like 5 bucks and can I tell you they are still holding up after like 2 years. It was one of those street festivals. The best things I've bought have been for like 5 bucks...lol,lol.

  • You may have been asked this already, but could you confirm the website addresses you mentioned as I couldn't catch them? Thank you.

  • Your story is my story. I'm transitioning and I have bra strap length hair. Everyone is pissed at me and confused as to why I'm going natural. I want to know what my natural texture is and I hide behind my hair as well. I'm excited and it was nice to know I'm not alone.

  • Your hair is 4b??!! Omg it looks so SOFT and pretty!! I have permed since 8 y.o also and am transitioning currently.. But I know that my hair is 4b and from researching that type, its supposed to be the easiest to break and hardest to manage.. These were large concerns for me -- so much so that I was thinking of just perming my hair.. Until this video! Thanks for posting!

  • I have 4b /4a hair (mostly 4b) and its not hard to manage! It may shock you but my hair is both soft and pretty! lol - 4b doesn't have to be very coarse. It's a skill (doing out type of hair), you just need practice.

  • .. Good to know, thanks!

  • Castile Soap is a mild NATURAL soap that is NOT a detergent like pantene. It is from de castile plant. U can find castile soap anywhere. After washing off the mayo, I use the apple cider vinegar rinse on the hair . It balances pH of my hair. After, I dry my hair and then use 100% natural UNREFINED yellowish shea butter. Its the best!! and in a month i noticed a HUGE difference in my hair!! i mean, HUGE!

  • Pantene is a VERY harsh shampoo and all those "organic" products are not really organic. Look at de ingredient section. See, wat i do is, if I buy a hair product and cannot pronounce all de fancy (scientific) ingredients in it, i wont buy it. What I use is mayonnaise. Its a GREAT moisturizer!! I use on my hair first, without washing. I keep it overnight and then i wash it off with castile soap.

  • NOOOOOO!!! My darling sister, DO NOT use pantene on ur hair!! believe me honeybun, i use to use pantene (for women of color) products for 2 yrs and my hair DID NOT improve. See, pantene does NOT actually add moisture and shine to ur hair. It COATS ur hair with petroleum products after it strips all de moisture. Its not a very good product believe me. I mean, read de ingredients at de back. ALL those chemicals?? common, you might as well go back to perming.

  • Girl, I am two steps ahead of you. I cut that thing out maybe a month or so after this vid. I noticed that it was very drying and I couldn't pronounce some of the ingredients. I do use Castille soap for my hair sometimes.

  • Girl u have to tell me how you got your chunky fro look!! I love love love!!!

  • You k now this was a trial an ended up being cute...lol I actually did a frohawk (like 3 mini puffs pulled to the top with bands. That was my style for the week and wa sgoing to take down to wash and it was so nice and stretched. I should do a vid on that once I'm done with this hair challenge.

  • Yes.. Please do so!!

  • Your hair is so beautiful and i love your length! Lol, i had the same amount of length as you when i BC'd. Thanks for this vid, i think it is important for anyone thinking about going natural. I use some great products called Essential Balms and made a vid of a teist out using them. Please come take a look when you can :). Great vid, great story and great hair!!

  • Thank you so much!! I'm looking into Essential Balms now, but there is no store where I can buy or get samples of the products. I've heard people say the products can be very oily and my hair does not take that much to oil. We'll see..

  • Well, i found that when it is oily you have used too much. The products don't require that much to get results and if you're like me (heavy handed!), it is easy to over do it. I have had to learn to be easy with it. Think it is only offered online, but you can cgeck out the site to see or go to her page "naturalhaircare". Hope that helps!

  • Inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing your story!!

  • I just bought the Aubrey Organics shampoo :-)

  • wow u dont look anywhere near thirty... congrats im in transition right now!!

  • BLESS YOU, BLESS YOU, BLESS YOU!!...lol

  • I just want to say that a "perm" is a permanent curl. A "perm" does not straighten. When ppl say "perm" they are not using the right word.. Relaxer or a Touch up is the correct way.. I am a cosmetologist and just wanted to put that out there..

  • i think most ppl know that, its just habit tho to call it perm instead of relaxer

  • OMG...Aubrey ORganics is SICK!!!! I'm about to try the J.A.Y. conditioner, I've heard so many good things about it...uber moisturizing.

  • I do love the Qhemet biologics products. And I'm starting to fall in love with a couple of the Aubrey organics conditioners.

  • This is a very cute hairstyle. Giving me some ideas I may try tomorrow :)

  • Oooh I love Qhemet products they are FABULOUS!!!!

  • You have Beautiful Hair !! It reminds me of my loose natural hair!!! Be Blessed!

  • your hair is gorgeous, wishing you continued happiness on your natural hair journey. I totally relate to the spiritual experience, I had a similar type experience. Bless

  • Thank you so much. It's a journey, but I absolutely LOVE the ride. Sometimes a relaxer looks so good, but I think I would rather just shave my head again before going back to that. Weird...because 3 years ago, I couldn't live without a perm.

  • wow! You dont look a day over 24. Love your hair btw.

  • Thanks Sweetie!!!

  • u Jamaican? u sound like one, man!

  • My parents are Jamaican (well my whole family), but I was born here.

  • You inspired me....your hair looks great!

  • Your hair looks great! Where do you get your hair trimmed?

  • Evolution Green Room Salon in BK. I hope I said that right...lol

They give great trims, but a little on the pricey side.

  • where did you purchase the boundless tresses products? i cant seem to find them

  • thanks for the product review

  • your hair looks great can u do a product video
