well from observing this and other videos of it, i believe there is a small button, that he rests his chin on, and when the cue comes, he depresses it with his chin. if you notice, always, just before it opens, his head drops about a quarter of an inch.

That's the big thing I like about Penn & Teller, they don't have any pretenses about what they do, even on stage, they don't act like they're actually doing magic, nor do they try to be somehow better then us laypeople. They recognize that performing like this can be done by anybody with enough practice, and project that attitude in their act, i.e., that they are just performers doing a great job of entertaining their audience, not fooling them.

It's true, I could do it... With a bit of practise, about 2 or 3 hour, if my neck is o.k...

But I will not be as entertaining, for that I need a lot more practise... But anyway, when you gone to see a magician, you know is gone to "fool" you, somehow... Penn&Teller, they fool us, but not the way magician usually does. But yes, a lot of people think to go see a magic show but they have a great show about magic.
