  • I just saw the play! It was GREAT!!!!!

  • Why does Jesus have to be so hot! I feel terrible saying "Jesus is sexy"....but this is a very special circumstance, what a great guy with an amazing voice.

  • Omg I saw them I wish I can see them agan

  • I saw this at Monrovia Catholic High School in 1984, and it was electrifying. The energy from the whole performance could have lit up the whole city. The cast stretched out "Day By Day" at the end for probably close to 10 minutes. The lead guitarist and pianist just went off at the 5 minute mark, and no one wanted it to end. The audience was totally into it, and the pastor joined the cast on stage holding hands. It was pretty emotional during that rendition and immediately after.

  • Just worked with Telly a couple of days ago! SUCH a nice person. He's one of those people you just wanna hang around with all day!

  • maybe im just picky but i wish they stuck closer to the first actors...they made it more...modern i guess lol

  • @Averysavoy04 It's always been done modern haha... modern just depends on what year it is. :)

  • This was sooo good! I saw it Nov. 10th, and I get to see it again Jan 5th!

  • My LORD he's attractive.

  • Yes/ Amazing/ Love it!

  • Saw Godspell on Friday! It was AMAZING!! The cast is so talented and they are all so nice!

  • I just saw this show one word wow! The best broadway I have ever seen.

  • Saw this yesterday, and it was AMAZING. My favorite Broadway show ive ever seen!

  • Wallace Smith, Judas/John the Baptist, is AMAZING and a really nice guy!!!...

  • Saw this yesterday and Hunter Parrish let us take a pic of him and talk- he was adorable and the play was great, I saw the original 35 years ago and this 2011 version still had its message loud and clear ,but it is just updated a bit -Beautiful gifted singers all around =they got a huge standing ovation as well

  • Staging & target-audience-wise: Rent, Spring Awakening, Hair, Bloody Bloody AJ, American Idiot, now Godspell... they're all starting to look the same & to lose the pieces' heart & brain. It's all a 'Glee' mish-mash. & then, when Jesus in Godspell is cast to stir the hormones of tweens rather than the spirits of a theater audience... (What's next, Bieber as Jesus in the re-make of the movie?.) I guess it's about getting the young dollars...I mean....young audiences in the seats...

  • @recordnyc I don't think Glee has anything to do with the way these shows are being done and Rent, Spring Awakening and Hair have still retained their original messages, I haven’t seen the other show you listed.

  • @recordnyc Spring Awakening has been closed for years. It's not starting to look like anything other than community theatre summer stock. As for BBAJ, it didn't even run long enough to have a cast change so I don't know how it lost its heart and brain.

  • @recordnyc I don't understand how you can say any of those pieces have lost their heart and brain. the message is loud and clear. as for Glee and Hunter Parrish, or any other young star/show... as long as they have talent, why shouldn't they be cast? what is so wrong with young audiences in seats if that means they are exposed and can appreciate good music? besides, it'll be good economically because you can't keep a show up on musical notes alone. try being more open minded

  • @recordnyc How can you say that? Hair, Godspell, Rent, and SA came out way before Glee. All of the shows are very different and all have heart. Their needs to be more young people in theater whether it be on Broadway or not.

  • @recordnyc true but stop with sa bbaj they actually have great musical numbers but godspell is crap

  • I'm always grateful to see any Broadway on TV. Unfortunately I think with this there were sound issues and I feel that it would have been better to highlight only one or two songs. Everything felt jammed together. But really it's awesome and I await the touring company coming to Tucson AZ in 3 or 4 years. :-)

  • George Salazar! I met him when he was in Spring Awakening. He's fabulous!

  • The choreography for "Light of the World" is SO COOL.

  • I'm so proud of this cast AND of alum, Paul Shaffer for having them on The Late Show!

  • Bring on the CD!! :) Ah love everyone in this cast. <3

  • I love how AMPDT shoots her confetti cannon a good five seconds before everyone else.

  • Hunter needed to be interviewed.

  • I'm ready for the CD!
