so THIS is where POTC got their ideas from... i just watched the full movie of sinbad and seriously, even the music reminded me of POTC. kind of disappointing, i did think POTC was rather original before watching this...

I re-watched Sinbad, and there are a lot of simularities to the two POTC movies that I'm fairly certain came after it, including a Cracken-style attack early on, that includes the monster getting blasted by a barrel full of gun powder. Then Sinbad sails past frozen seas and sails past the edge of the world to find himself in a desert that defy logic. I cannot be the only one seeing the similarities between this and the 2nd and 3rd POTC movies.
