I live in NY and you have to pass and exam, they send your application with the results. My friend who lives in AZ does not need an exam at all. She printed out the application from the website of the secretary of state and will just mail it in. Things are so different state to state
GREAT video. I passed the test way back in the days. Of course it expired. Back in 1995, you only got paid when you notarize someone's document. It cost $2 per document. what is it now??
Hi Stacey, Great advice. We need more Notary's out here. Most Notary's aren't told that they can do Notary Protests, Notarial Presentments, Certificates of Dishonor, etc. It's in every states statutes and entirely legal that Notary's do this. For California, you can become a notary or renew a notary certificate all online at notaryclassonline

What the hell is a notary? I'm signing up for classes and is totally clueless how to do it, but I just saw "notary" under the small business section.
